Seems I have had another impromptu break but I am now fired up and ready begin ... my 10th year at the Pulse!

That's right, my little ol' show was born way back in 2014 so this year marks its 10th trip around the planet. So with that in mind I am kicking off the year with songs from band's 10th albums!

I am back, baby!

Finally kicking off my ninth year with a three hour show! Yes, indeedy, on the first Friday of every month we will be going an extra hour as we make Metal Mullet a permanent fixture!

For my first show of the year, the theme is 'Tired'! Because I think we, as a nation, are tired. it has been a long two years but I think 2022 will be the year to turn it around.

I mean, sure, we have a great theme in 'Four Piece Bands' with a collection of awesome (and a few obscure) songs but tonight also sees something brand new...

METAL MULLET!

Going an extra hour tonight and that whole 60 minutes will be dedicated to the heavy stuff. Plus, as I am new(ish) to the genre, two of my listeners have stepped up to help with the playlist.

Tonight we farewell my very first fan.

Walter has been a mainstay of The Mullet Show since the very beginning. He has requested a song on nearly every show I have ever done. All 261 of them.

Earlier this year, after a long battle, Walter succumbed to cancer. In his honour tonight I will not be hosting The Mullet Show.

Tonight, is Walter's Show.

So.
It's been a long haul but we are almost there.

As we bid a fond (ha!) farewell to Lockdown in Victoria there is no theme to pick other than...

FREEDOM!!!

I know people will be frantically heading all across the state tomorrow morning so to ensure you are not too exhausted I have picked a chill playlist for the night (with a couple of notable exceptions) so we can just sit and enjoy our new found freedom.

Just revel in it. Roll around in it for a while. :)
