VOICE SPOTLIGHT - "Belinda". The amazing people we work with on TVM do so many mind-blowing things both in front of and away from the microphone. In July, Belinda was chosen to represent Australia at an International Para Ice Hockey Training Camp in Bangkok, Thailand, playing alongside teams from Korea, Japan and Thailand. Just last week she travelled to Melbourne with the Western Australian Team to the Inaugural National Para Ice Hockey Training Camp and National Showcase, playing alongside the best players in the country as they all vied for a spot on the national team to represent Australia at the World Championships, a stepping stone along the path to the Paralympics. Para Ice Hockey is still a fledgling sport in Australia, slowly gaining in momentum and numbers, with teams in most states. It's a sport for both those with disabilities, and the able bodied as well. Belinda encourages you to get in contact with your local State Ice Hockey body, and they should be able to hook you up. You can check out the National Showcase here: https://tinyurl.com/4cvcuyte.
