🚧 Signalised crossing on Caroline Springs Boulevard.

We are installing a new signalised crossing on Caroline Springs Boulevard. These upgrades between College and Lake Streets will provide a safe way for pedestrians to cross between the school and library to the retail precinct.

Improvements will include raised crossings, the installation of pedestrian-operated signals, new safety bollards, updated landscaping and public lighting and the widening of footpaths to accommodate outdoor diners.

Works will begin next Tuesday, 11 June, and are expected to take three months. Construction will mainly occur during off-peak hours and at night, with measures in place to maintain access to the area.

To keep updated with upgrades, visit www.melton.vic.gov.au/CSCrossing

* Temporary closure - General waste area at the Melton Recycling Facility *

Please be advised that the general waste area at the Melton Recycling Facility is temporarily closed until further notice.

At this time, we are unable to accept any general waste (items that would normally go in your red bin or transferred to landfill).

Damage occurred to the area earlier today and we will be having it assessed and made safe before re-opening.

We apologise for any inconvenience, and we will provide updates on reopening as soon as possible.

The Re-Sale shop remains open, and you can still dispose of other waste including green waste, timber, soils, concrete, recycling materials, mattresses, tyres, batteries, and e-waste.

If you have waste that needs to be disposed of urgently, you can visit one of the following sites:

• Moorabool transfer station, Osbourne Street, Maddingley
• Wyndham Municipal Tip, 470 Wests Road, Werribee
• Sunbury Resource Recovery Centre and Landfill, 515 Riddell Rd, Sunbury
