Today I stand in solidarity with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and acknowledge that the 26th of January is a day of mourning. This is a time that we can pause and reflect on past injustices, educate ourselves on current affairs and issues whilst considering how we can move forward to create a more equitable and socially just country for all.

Another week done and dusted, and thank all the holy's it's Friday and I can have a chilled glass of wine and unwind.

And what a week it has been - from a gobsmacking response from our Government to an *alleged* r**e in a Minister's office, to The Book pulling up all news because of *checks notes* a poorly drafted and seriously flawed legislation change by again, inept Government - it's fair to say my fingers could now lift 800 kilos from all the typing I've done correcting inaccuracies and sharing my views (not to mention I need a new keyboard cause I bashed out those words).

And while I sit and sip on a nice rosé and think back I've realised that I've crossed a line, I can't sit back and not NOT say anything when I see injustice, lies, manipulation, gaslighting, ineptitude or gross negligence. I've been pushed past my somewhat comfy place of privilege and know there's so much more to say.

It’s time to get uncomfortable.
