I'm always excited to come in to the studio each week. But I was extra excited this week with two special guests. First, at around 7:30 I played an interview I pre-recorded via Zoom with Bonny Light Horseman. Anais Mitchell, Eric D. Johnson and Josh Kaufman spoke to me from different locations across the USA. Their new album Keep Me on Your Mind/ See You Free is out now. Then, after 8:00, Riley Catherall came into the studio for a chat and played us a couple of songs from his wonderful new album "The Light, The Beautiful Liar".

Swinging City Live from The Corner Hotel
Thursday July 25th 1-5pm.

I was very happy to be asked to step into Ernie's shoes for a day and co-host with Crispi from Radio City, the PBS 106.7FM Melbourne outside broadcast that is part of the City Of Yarra's annual Leaps And Bounds Music Festival.

We've called it Swinging City!

This year it is happening at The Corner Hotel on Thursday, July 25th on their rooftop bar and courtyard. Crispi and I will co-host from 1-5pm. It's a free event with no ticket required. But get there early to grab a table.

Joining us for 4 hours of live music will be intimate sets from Freya Josephine Hollick,, Queenie, The Ronson Hangup, Amarillo, Hana and Jessie-Lee’s Bad Habits, and Ben Mastwyk & The Energy.

On the show in the morning, my special guests will be The Counterfeit with Freya Josephine Hollick. They will be in around 8:00 to play a few songs and talk about their show on Sunday at the Memo Music Hall

The Counterfeit, a 10-piece band performing a dynamic array of Italian soundtracks from the greatest Spaghetti Western films of the 1960s and 70s. Featuring the vocals of Ballarat’s renowned Freya Josephine Hollick, the band will perform at Memo Music Hall on June 2nd.

Very excited to be involved in the PBS 106.7FM Melbourne outside broadcast at Corner Hotel on July 25th. It's a part of the annual Leaps & Bounds Festival presented by The City Of Yarra.

As Ernie from Swinging Doors on PBSFM will be away, I'll co-host with Crispi from Radio City Radio Show on PBS FM. We're calling in Swinging City!

There will be some great local live acts playing that will be announced soon.

This occurs from 1-5pm on July 25th at the Corner.
The event is free but sure to be popular so arrive early!
