The SET THE TONE! REMIX COMPETITION is complete! I want to personally thank everyone who put their long hours and expertise into the wide variety of remixes we received.
I'll be carefully listening to them all over the next few days and announcing the winners Tuesday 31st JANUARY 2023 at 5pm (Brisbane time) on this page.
There are some absolute dancefloor stonkers in there and also some really creative & unusual mixes in non-house genres. I'll be picking a selection from both the club-based mixes AND the left-field mixes.
We received over 20 finished remixes all up and the stems went out to over 80 producers on request from all over the world, so thank you for your involvement. I really didn't expect the amount of interest it ended up gaining!
Even if you didn't get your finished remix in, I hope you enjoyed playing with the stems. It's a fun little track. 🙃
Stay tuned for more details on the REMIX EP release and a surprise for everyone who submitted their remix. More to come...

Email sent out to the "Set The Tone!" REMIX COMPETITION entrants today. It's not too late if you'd like to have a shot at it. Entry closing date revised below:

"Thanks for downloading the stems package for “Set The Tone!”. I hope you’ve been having fun with it!

Just a friendly reminder that we’re on the hunt for new music from new artists at Long Distance Recordings and this competition is a good way for us to gauge who is breaking out of their home studios with great sounding music and mixdowns. We are planning a compilation of fresh music from new artists sometime this year, so you can always send your demos into us here at the label at this same email address. No track will go unheard by myself and other label crew.

If you have already sent in your remix of “Set The Tone!” via We Transfer/Dropbox/Google Drive to the [email protected] email address – FANTASTIC!
We’ll be collecting all the remixes and judging just after the entry close date. We can’t give feedback along the way, as this would be unfair to the other entrants.

For those still tinkering away – don’t forget the last possible date to get your fresh remix in is THIS FRIDAY NIGHT 20th JAN at 11:59pm.

Actually, we’ve had a bit of a rethink and we’re going to keep it open for another 2 days, to give you the extra time needed to really make it shine on the mixing desk over this weekend.

So let’s make it THIS SUNDAY NIGHT 22nd JAN at 11:59pm Australian Eastern Summer Time (so that will be SUNDAY MORNING for those of you in Europe).

We’ve already had some great entries come in, but there’s plenty of room for more and the competition is certainly not over or decided yet.

You’ll be joining myself Mark Dynamix with a remix alongside Xan Müller (the other half of The Antipodeans) with his own Komyoun remix on the package.

New Lower Shipping Rates and Currency Selector

We have managed to secure lower shipping rates for most items on the store. All products will now be sent via SENDLE courier around Australia and Internationally. In some cases such as CD singles, this has reduced the shipping costs by half for international purchasers outside of Australia, so check our new rates when you add your item to cart.
Also, you will find a country selector along the top bar of the website. This will now change your currency from Australian Dollars (AUD) to US Dollars (USD), Euros (EUR), British Pounds Sterling (GBP) or Canadian Dollars (CAD).
