We don't usually do this but in the interest of protecting innocent members of the public the decision has been made to call out a large company on it's nasty dealings.
This post is to inform the general public in Australia that Suncorp insurance policies aren't worth a single dollar you invest into having them. Suncorp themselves own AAMI, Bingle, Apia, Shannons, InsureMyRide, Terri Sheer, CIL and Tyndall in Australia alone.
This post is referring specifically to AAMI motor claim M080240280.
There was questions raised about the claim because the policy itself was new, being for the purchase of a vehicle which had not yet been completely signed over being that new.
AAMI involved an investigator into the matter and despite confirming that the vehicle was a new purchase and that the policy was in fact purchased before the incident or claim, they have continued to treat their customer like a criminal. The person in question has never had an insurance payout in the 34 years they have been alive. Under these circumstances there should be no further reason to question this policy /claim or treat this person like a criminal.
This being said, Suncorp have continued to do so, using everything at their disposal to make the claim process hard and almost impossible for their customer to pursue, eventually using grounds of non co-operation as a reason to deny the claim.
I will leave this to the reader to decide who in fact is the actual fraud in this circumstance! However given this knowledge it is out belief that you should go elsewhere for your insurance policies.
