I’m fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service

Australia is a big country, and for those living in remote, rural and regional areas, access to immediate care isn’t a guarantee. For some communities, the nearest hospital is eight hours drive away.

This October, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help more people access the care they need. By going further, I hope to raise as much as possible for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).

Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes!

Together, we can keep the Flying Doctor flying and continue their life-saving work.

Massive shoutout to in Bundaberg. Took the family there for a quick getaway while I had a job doing photos out of the helicopter on the river. This property is extremely well presented and facilities are top notch. So much to do for the kids. Will definitely be back.

So cool seeing my photos being used.

This was one of my shots with the team at StarFlight Australia during an air to air sortie over parts of south east Queensland. The purpose of my photos are for clients to use them in new media and marketing material and seeing this on display at the Avalon International air show is such a massive achievement for me.

My mind is blown….

I Have been named a finalist for the Australian Aviation Awards Aerial Services Business of the year.

I didn’t know if I had a chance or not and to be a finalist has just blown me away.

I’ve worked extremely hard with Sky High Photos to get it where it is today and definitley wouldn’t have been able to do it without the love and support of my family and friends, not to mention the frigin awesome customers of mine 🤙😁 yeeeoooo

I’ll be heading to Sydney on the 1st of September for the awards night at the The Star Sydney.

Very privileged to be able to share one of our recent projects with the team

StarFlight is a joint venture between two iconic organisations, LifeFlight Australia and Linfox, providing tailor-made solutions for complex aviation challenges across Australia for law enforcement, Defence and emergency response services. 
StarFlight’s requirement was simple: capture new imagery of one of the organisation’s flagship aircraft to reflect StarFlight’s capability and agility to deliver for clients.

To ensure this was achieved, Sky High Photos consulted with stakeholders to discuss concepts, locations, atmosphere, lighting, equipment, weather options and personnel. Using this intel and a comprehensive brief provided by the StarFlight team, a runsheet requiring four locations to capture the images needed was developed to ensure a successful outcome. 

The day commenced at LifeFlight’s Sunshine Coast base where Sky High met with the marketing team, flight crew and engineering teams to brief the sequence of shots required, safety requirements and weather considerations.  The shoot required the use of the AS350 Squirrel aircraft as the platform for the photographer to capture the images of the AW139 aircraft in various scenarios typical to aeromedical and search and rescue operations. 
The setting for the shoot was completed in South East Queensland, primarily in the Glass House Mountains, Brisbane city and Stradbroke Island area.

Sadly on the 19th December 2021 my dad passed away along with a work colleague and his two kids in a plane accident at our local airfield.
My dad was one of the most genuine and honest men that god put on this earth. He accepted everyone and always would give you nothing but the best of him. He has made an impact worldwide in so many peoples lives and hearing some of the stories from tributes posted it just makes me happy. Happy in a way that dad always made people smile, always made people feel welcome and wanted. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone.
Dad I miss you mate. May you Rest In Peace 🙏❤️

As you can imagine, it has impacted our family losing dad. I will be taking a break from here for a while to be with my family and to remember the great man that dad was.

ENCOURAGE ACTION - Encourage them to do something that might lighten the load.
