I had a very busy day working on the Hot Rod & Harley Expo, but the rest time is in sight. Montana had to work, so Kathy and I jumped in the Chev for a cruise to Kiama Pub for dinner! Good times...

Well, today was supposed to be the start of the Performance Street Car Road Trip, and check out the blue skies! But, that's about as far as the fun would have gone with the flooding that has been affecting the regional area's around Narrandera etc almost certainly causing the event to be canceled anyway. It's funny how things work out... We were due to spend the 2nd night in Narrandera, before making our way through to Wagga Wagga and eventually Albury. Will we give it another go in 2023? That all depends on how many people want to get involved...

So here it is. A little after 9pm the night before we head into the Illawarra Hockey Centre to set up for the long-awaited return of Killer Rides Live. The entry list is full, the trophies look amazing and the advertising has been happening all week. Although things are where they should be, I'm nervous, I'm anxious and I'm excited for the weekend ahead. The past couple of months have seen lots of extra hours put in to get the show happening, and I can't believe it's almost here! We've got a lot of work to do tomorrow morning to get the floor plan in place before the cars rock up and then it all happens on Sat from 9am-5pm and again on Sun from 9am-4pm. Admission to the show is just $12 for adults and $7 for kids under 14. I really hope people appreciate the work that I and my dedicated team of family and friends put into this event and come for a look. I'm sure you'll be impressed with what you see! It's going to be a busy back half of 2022 for Killer Rides. Not only is there a new Issue of Killer Rides Magazine online every four weeks, along with our monthly Mid-Week Meet-Up, but I also have Killer Rides Live coming up on August 13/14, followed by the first Performance Street Car Road Trip from Wollongong to Albury over three days (Oct 19-21) and then we finish off the events list with the first Hot Rod & Harley Expo on Nov 12/13. As you can imagine, making all of these things happen, is like working 3 full-time jobs, so if you are able to support any or all things that I do through Killer Rides, please do so. OK guys, even though we are still a few months away from kicking off the inaugural PSC Road Trip, it looks like escalating fuel prices may have a detrimental effect on the number of people able to make the commitment to be a part of the 6-day 1200-plus kilometre cruise. So until we see fuel prices stabilize, how would you feel about staging the first event as a smaller, three-day cruise? I still want this event to happen and I think we can still raise plenty of money for GOTCHA4LIFE in the process. Would you be inclined to go for a smaller run initially? Share your thoughts...

Very sad news today to find out that another legend of the car scene has cruised onto that big parking lot in the sky. Jim Broadley of Diablo Motors fame, passed away today leaving behind not only a loving family but a massive line-up of people proud to have called him a mate. I always enjoyed our chats at the Summernats in the early days, great memories that will live on forever. It's now time for you to cruise on with your mates that have passed before you. RIP old mate...
