Wild Dingo Press brings to light the stories of individuals quietly doing extraordinary things, be it exposure of corruption and systemic flaws or the experiences of the disenfranchised, disempowered

and dispossessed. Shedding light on social issues and sharing the rich cultural output and traditions of those oft-discussed but denied a voice; Wild Dingo Press publishes both fiction and non-fiction narratives which challenge readers and enrich them personally, intellectually and emotionally. Principally a publishing house for Australian-based authors, WDP commissions works as well as solicits manuscripts that meet our criteria of excellence and relevance. All titles are published in hardcopy and e-book formats and are distributed to all good book retailers in ANZ by NewSouth Books.

In 2015, WDP was honoured to be asked to publish Les Twentyman’s story. The acclaimed writer, Robert Hillman, worked with Les to bring the great man’s life and profoundly impactful achievements to a national audience. The Mouth That Roared was released in 2017 and launched with great fanfare by Bill Shorten and Gary Sweet, appropriately at the Williamstown Football Club. I treasure memories of my catch-ups with Les, who being available to the most desperate and the most powerful any time of day or night, would be regularly interrupted by the buzzing phone – requests for his time, bequests from others – or a passing punter wanting to shake his hand. Our team salutes the man who remained true to his background and his ideals, who put them into practice every day so kids who just needed a leg up could follow their dreams. Vale Les Twentyman. So many will miss you.

"I just can’t get enough of the Aussie STEM Stars series and I am so glad that there’s a new addition to this awesome collection!

In this book, readers meet Maddy McAllister: Shipwreck Detective! Maddy’s love for the sea and all things related to it began when she was just a child. She shared her grandfather’s love for ancient civilisations and ocean related adventuring. As she grew, she pursued her passions and is now a renowned maritime archeologist, an expert in the study of shipwrecks.

The Aussie STEM Stars series of books is an inspiring one that tells the stories of diverse Australian inventors, scientists and educators who have shown perseverance, courage and dedication in effecting change in their fields.

Each story is written as a narrative, beginning with the childhood of the person featured. The stories go on to describe their passion for their field and the numerous challenges that they had to overcome to get to where they are today.

Inspiring stories written in easily comprehensible text! A great resource for any home, class or school library! "

Thank you Flip With Joy

It's been a big week! I have never had the privilege of having two books come out in the same year before, so receiving advance copies of both within days of one another has been a huge treat! This little beauty is out 1 February, and I am so proud of it. What an inspiring and beautiful story Maddy McAllister's is. Huge thanks to The Shipwreck Mermaid and Wild Dingo Press for entrusting this one to me. I can't wait to start to talking to kids about it!
