Back in January, I told myself I would create one of these every month. So here’s the next one ... for August 😂
Family life has been the main focus for me these past few weeks. My son’s representative basketball season has been full-on. At times playing 3 games a weekend and travelling to different parts of Queensland. There was an engagement, new fur baby and human baby news. I met clients in real life and we started our backyard projects.

Thank you, Ana, for the lovely review 🙏
This client is an experienced mortgage broker who started her own brokerage after working under a licensed planner.
In her 15 years, she had built a solid reputation for delivering results and her personal touch that much of her business was returned customers and referrals. However, she knew going out on her own meant utilising today's marketing techniques.
The “online realm” was a scary territory for Ana, considering she isn’t one to post online personally. So I propose we focus on establishing her new business and leveraging her solid client base to build her credibility and leads too.
I explained and walked her through technical setups, proposed workflows in her business processes, and created templates. Sure enough, the desired marketing outcome came flowing.
So happy and proud of you, Ana, for stepping out of your comfort zone. Not just in business but online too.
A few weeks offline cause life got busy & I wanted a relatively stress-free vibe leading up to my comp 🏋️♀️
But this biz owner is back 👋

What to post? - Follow Me Media
It’s that time of the day/week/month again - creating content for your business’ socials 🤪
If you’re struggling with what to post, don’t worry, I’ve been there too. So what can you post when you don’t know what to post? 🤔 ....
1. FAQs – those commonly asked questions about your business, service, or industry. Answer each one as a separate post and give as much detail. Share your advice, opinions, best practices, tips or things to avoid.
2. Rinse & Repeat – look at your analytics and see which content achieved the most [insert marketing goal]. This will also give you insight into what kind of content your audience enjoys seeing from you.
3. BTS – no, not that K-pop group but Behind The Scene content like your team morning meeting, visiting a client or sharing exciting news about the people who make up your wonderful business.
4. Have fun – there’s so much non-business content out there, from memes, trending reels or relatable quotes. Do what you’re comfortable doing and is in line with your business’ branding, messaging, and the type of customers you want to attract.
We're all doing it - Follow Me Media
Whether you want to admit it or not, we're all judging businesses based on what we find or don't find online about them. What we discover when we find the answers to the questions below can impact our decision-making process.
𝘋𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘸𝘦𝘣𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘴 𝘍𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬?
𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘤𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘢𝘺 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘰𝘯 𝘎𝘰𝘰𝘨𝘭𝘦?

Even if you believe all your leads come through referrals, I guarantee they still went online and attempted to find your business online.

We’re different depending on what situations we’re in. It’s human nature.
Instagram works the same. The app’s feed, explorer, reels and stories work differently because it is used differently. Eg. people tend to look at Stories from their closest friends but use the Explore page to discover new content.
The app’s sophisticated algorithm ensures our experience is highly personalised according to our usage. That means no two users will see the same thing on their Stories, Explore or Reels page 🤯

We share stories and experiences of times when social media influenced decisions and created leads, because whether you realise it or not, we do take into consideration what we find or don’t find online when making purchasing decisions.
I give my insight into why it’s important to have an active online presence and tips on how to start being consistent on your preferred platform.

Why outsource your socials?
Why outsource your accounting or bookkeeping? Why outsource delivery of your products? Why outsource your materials? Why outsource your labour? - Because you can't physically or mentally do everything in your business.
Marketing is an important part of business and keeping it in house or outsourcing is a decision most businesses make at some point. Ultimately you need to hire resources that fills the gaps or needs of your business. Giving you time to focus on areas of your business that you enjoy doing, or plays to your strengths.

❤️❤️❤️ getting this kind of message from a client. They're excited, and I'm genuinely happy for them too!!
This is a service-based client of mine who is in the finance space. I've been managing their socials for several months. Their account doesn't have the most significant following (because buying followers or engagement is 🙅♀️), But we've been consistent with posting valuable, informative and clever planned content. They know who they want to attract and what kind of messaging they want to communicate.
Too many business owners say to me, “𝘸𝘦 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘢𝘭𝘴”, But see, we're all secretly looking and judging businesses based on what we find or don't find online. So being consistent and active with your online presence can help sway your curious customers 😉

I recently hosted a training session. I trained a group of people who worked for the same company on social media.
We covered why it’s essential and how to use it for their business. I discussed content strategies to attract their ideal customers, explained why platforms do what they do, and went through some common and practical functions. I shared my go-to hacks to make it easier for them to create content and manage their company’s socials.
Why not empower yourself or your team with some training? Upskill the people in your company on something that is very much part of our lifestyle and business operation today.
Watch to see the benefits and learnings your team could gain from social media training.

In February, I levelled up my plant game and purchased this investment piece: a monstera thai constellation #ykiyk
After a month of care and lots of love, we have a new leaf 🌱👏🏼
I’m no plant expert, but I’ve slowly learned how to care for them, read them, and propagate them. I’ve even sold many of my cuttings, and it’s become a little side hustle I do with my boys. I invested in this plant because I want to expand my collection and grow rare plants. I want to learn more about them, and I want to be confident growing and understanding them.
Like with anything you become deeply interested in. Over time confidence increases, and so does the desire to know or acquire more. That further knowledge, skill or equipment comes at a price. Whether it’s purchasing a book on a topic, doing a course to acquire different skills, guidance from a coach to develop your technique, or buying particular equipment to increase your capacity. Improvement requires investment.
You invest to level up. You invest to seek more than you currently know. You invest because you want an advantage.
Too many business owners aren’t investing in their business. They’re confident in their services but ignore the areas in their business they could improve on. It can be disheartening when the world doesn’t invest in your business. But it’s more disheartening when you don’t believe and invest in your own business.
Now and then, invest in your business’ hypothetical monstera thai constellation 😉🪴

Can you relate to one of the following …
🏠 Choosing a particular house because it felt like “the one” despite it costing more or maybe not in your ideal location.
👟 Choosing a particular brand of shoes because it looks really good and you’ve seen so many other people rocking it too.
📖 Participating in a challenge or doing a course in hopes to improve your current situation.
🤑 Paying extra to upgrade a service, so you or your loved ones are more comfortable.
All human behaviour, including purchasing decisions, attempts to meet our deepest needs. So while business reputation, quality of work and service is important, use social media to sell emotions.

With so many messages about #IWD today, I assumed that whatever I had to say, someone else would have covered it already and probably expressed it more eloquently than I would have. But when I thought about how my silly assumptions were reducing the underlying principle of IWD, I got over those feelings and crafted this post.
When I think of International Women’s Day, I think about all the women, especially the women who are yet to walk in my shoes of life experiences, and I wish they would realise how capable they are.
I’m no life coach or claim to have my life all figured out but here are some of the things I’ve grown to realise and now share and use as encouragement for all women this IWD:
✨ Learn to love, encourage, be kinder and more forgiving to yourself as much as you are to others.
✨ If you want to, you can improve, but learn to be comfortable and completely accept yourself for who you are.
✨ Your worth is not linked to your work and what you have or don’t have
✨ Stop hiding your uniqueness or diminishing yourself to fit in
✨ You are enough. You’re doing enough
✨ Change or doing something new is daunting and uncomfortable, but only at the start. Don’t let it stop you from trying new things
✨ Stop caring about what others might think; it’s what’s holding you back. When you realise pleasing the world is impossible, you’re free to please yourself.
✨ Your voice matters, so share what you have to say
✨ Make your mindset the most beautiful thing about you. Fill it with the good stuff – gratitude, courage, optimism and peace.
✨ Protect your boundaries and your skin ✌️
Happy International Women's Day Qween 👑

People function similarly to phones in that they require energy to perform tasks. And just like your phone, when you’re not fully charged, you don’t perform as well.
What we mean by “recharging” can look differently depending on your life, but essentially it means self-care and rest. It’s not something you do just on holiday either; you should be taking time out throughout every day to recharge.
For me, how I like to recharge is working out. By physically going to my second home (my gym Rewired Fitness) and just putting all my mind and energy into something that challenges me has a big impact. Obviously, the physical, but the endorphins that then flows onto my attitude and approach to the rest of the day.
How do you recharge?
