A little behind the scenes from today's film shoot for Australia By Design - Architecture. Special thanks to Peter Colquhoun for guiding me backwards down a couple of stairs whilst filming a piece to camera with Richard Munao and architect, Claus Ejlertsen.

Join me behind the scenes as I shoot the model/supercar scenes for a real estate video that I filmed last year. I had a very limited time on location and vague idea of what I wanted to capture. A lot of what happened on the day was created in the moment as I worked as a one-man-band filming and directing. This is a great insight into how much work goes into a simple 60s video, albeit it a relatively straight forward one too. It was a lot of fun and a great challenge. I love what I do and I'm grateful for these opportunities.

Equipment: Panasonic GH5 and assorted lenses including Sirui Anamorphics / Ronin stabilizer / GoPro.

Like most of us, I'm about to kick things off again for another year. I just wanted to reach out and thank all of you for sticking around. I hope you have all set solid goals for 2023 and wish you all the best for achieving them. For me, this year is about discipline and staying focused. I'll also be working on personal video projects that showcase real world stories. I'm looking forward to the creative journey ahead of me. I'm also glad I don't have to stabilize my cameras like this anymore - this photo was taken back in 2009. We've come a long way since then, let's keep going! #2023

Another flashback to the good old Queensland Rail days where I started shooting video. This is 2009 I believe. This was a Sony Z1 camcorder that recorded 1080i to MiniDV. I had no idea how to use it when I unboxed it - it was such an awesome experience teaching myself on the job. I would learn something new every time I shot a new project and that is one of the most important things that I still experience today. Always learning, always progressing, always inspired.

I mic'd Jamal and Bob and we walked around this awesome property shooting interviews for an hour or so. Then it was time to shoot some hero shots before bringing it all into the editing suite and making a cut. A much more informative real estate video this one, with dialogue being key. Even got one of my anamorphics out for a scene or two. Great to see this one finally hit the market today.

What a pleasure to film this amazing home, that features an old church as a centrepiece. The church was built in 1912 and was utilised as a place of worship for over 170 parishioners. The developer who spotted this church, Bob Chambers and his team of architects decided to give the church a second life. Bob says the church was the perfect piece of architecture to bring his vision to life.

👀 Throwback!! 😎 It was 3 years ago when I filmed and edited this promotional video for the RSL Art Union which featured a $3.3m property portfolio. This was an epic project which saw me traveling to Melbourne, Sydney and Noosa to film both property and lifestyle shots. I had 400Gb of video footage to sort through when the editing process began!
