🌏 On this International Human Rights Day, we send our unwavering support and solidarity to nurses, midwives, and healthcare workers who risk their lives in conflict and war zones worldwide, to uphold the fundamental human right to health.

Human rights are not abstract ideals—they are a lifeline for millions and the cornerstone of an equitable, thriving and just society. Protecting healthcare workers and facilities is a moral and legal obligation under international law. Yet, in conflict and war zones such as Gaza and Ukraine, these rights are under constant threat.

The ANMF stands with global campaigns like and to demand respect for the sanctity of human rights, healthcare workers and facilities. We support the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and call for peaceful and lasting resolutions to current conflicts.

Only with peace can people prosper. Let us unite our voices to protect health, dignity, and life.
