We are looking for 4 exceptional local young people to send to the 2025 Magic Moments Youth Leadership and Business Summit.

Costs are sorted by CBBM and the summit is in Sydney during the July school holidays.

Last year we sent 3 people to the summit and they had an absolute ball. One is even returning this year as a mentor and another has been invited to do some volunteer work with them.

If you are or know any students aged 14-17yo that will benefit from this program please ask them to apply.

Apple 98.5fm Bacchus Marsh are on the lookout for aspiring broadcasters to join our Ballarat Football Netball League commentary team for the 2025 season

BFL Game Day on Apple 98.5fm has proudly been on air since 2002 bringing Bacchus Marsh residents the weekly action from the two local clubs (Bacchus Marsh Football & Netball Club and Darley Football Netball Club) and prides itself on presenting to a high standard with several of our commentators going onto professional careers. We are on the lookout for up and coming callers who are passionate about their local footy along with a weekend availability and commitment throughout the season to prepare and present to a live community radio audience

Roberta Flack, the veteran Grammy-winning soul and R&B vocalist who recorded massive hits with 'The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face' and 'Killing Me Softly with His Song,' died Monday at age 88.

Elaine Schock, Flack’s representative, confirmed the singer’s death from cardiac arrest. “Roberta broke boundaries and records. She was also a proud educator,” a statement read.

In 2022, Flack was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and lost her ability to sing. The disease, her rep said at the time, “has made it impossible to sing and not easy to speak.”
