Seeing as pioneer is the industry standard they should bring out a player that only plays records or CDs or usb fines that don’t use rekordbox or its analysis.
These units have no screens or visual feedback no sync button and no display of bpm or key or waveform.

No laptop, and no usb using analyzed tracks from any software, only waves or mp3s/lossless files. No metadata from software. All has to be done by ear and hand.

Then all clubs and festivals should demand that only Dj’s who can play these units can be booked.

I can guarantee there would a lot less t***s and imposters parading around as “DJs” and saturating the market and scene based on their followers when the only thing they can use to dj music and mix music with is their ears to keep it all in time and key.

Any of my friends on here a cubase guru?
I’ve disconnected control room and just using main outs.
But brick wall limiters and clippers don’t seem to do their job and stop the signal at -2db for example 😞
It just seems to clip anyway…
Any help appreciated 🙂

Two of my favourite homies making tunes together is a recipe for dance floor stomping.
I remember hanging out with Myagi Andrew J Mavor before his set at the Moonbar at the empire hotel in brisbane before his set on tour in australia from canada. Man knows how to plug wires into machines and make them make good noises.
Also remember living in brighton for a couple of years and hanging out with mr cakeboy al la Holocene Paul Croley. One of the best live acts I’ve ever seen in the early days of the 90s hands down.
Both these lads have been at it a long time and both make incredibly good music.
Go do yourself a favour and grab yourself a copy of this EP to get your boogie juices flowing whether it be dancing round the house, mixing a dj set to hone your skills or to play out at a gig and share the love with the dance floor and watch it explode 😉
