There’s a handy explainer for the para dressage coming up. The days of competition listed aren’t quite right - stick with the dates listed… but otherwise helpful. We have settled in well at our staging camp at Deauville… It’s a beautiful place and very welcoming for our team. The town is famous for its equestrian events and its film festival.

Today Stella Barton represented para equestrian at the launch of the Paralympic uniforms in Sydney. It’s the first time equestrian has been represented at the launch. She still doesn’t know about selection to the team yet but it’s lovely to be involved and on the radar.

Any wheelchair users considering flying into Sydney and picking up a hire car …. Just go to Canberra instead and save yourself the headache…. It’s worth the extra drive. Sydney hire cars are a shuttle bus away and we all know how that works out!!!! 😩😩

Just home from an absolutely super few days in Donnybrook WA helping Stella Barton Para-Equestrian with her campaign for Paris 2024. So many highlights but watching Stella ride Bug in the sea on a stunning WA beach was definitely the highlight of highlights. Bug was looking superb and really enjoying his job with Stella. After spending a large part of this week removing dozens of end of year newsletters from my inbox, I’ve decided that there will be no December newsletter to burden you with from Disability Busters. Instead I’ll put my energy into something to get you all going in mid January when the new year is fresh and hopefully my readers are fresh too.

Wishing you all a merry Christmas and some much needed rest. Thanks to everyone who has supported our independent platform over the year. It means a lot.

For now it’s off to the beach to replenish the spirit.
