But not everyone gets the chance to tell theirs. And very few have their story told in such a way that it stays in the mind of the listener long after they’ve heard it. When we tell stories using sound only it invites the listener to become immersed into someone else’s world in a very intimate way. And at the heart of this is the human voice. It is through hearing the voice that we connect with ot

hers. I started this venture to satisfy my passion for telling stories and to share this passion with others. I want people to know that they and their stories are valued. Having my own mobile recording studio means I can travel to wherever the stories are giving people the opportunity to have their story recorded and told in a way that leaves a lasting impression on those who listen.

The Story of The Wayfinder

My passion is to travel around and record people’s stories and craft them into beautiful audio experiences. Having my own mobile sound studio allows me to travel to wherever the stories are and have a unique and specialised space to record conversations.

I’ve been producing audio features and documentaries for over ten years for a number of programs broadcast as part of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC RN). I spent a number of years travelling to East Africa finding and telling stories.

Now I want to tell stories in my own backyard. I grew up on Tasmania’s idyllic North-West Coast and so the country, the beach-side and the wilderness are all home to me.

I’m a big believer in a slower kind of storytelling. The kind where you take the time to engage and collaborate with local communities because it leads to much deeper human connections and better stories.
