With support from WA’s Department of Communities - today we commenced our Tjilpi and Minyma Pampa Project to help our much loved seniors through hot season. ☀️
With Christmas around the corner, our first session was using paint markers to DIY ceramic baubles, then picking out some additional baubles to decorate the small Christmas tree for each participants ngurra. 🎄🏠

Yesterday we took some of our local Irrunytju staff and enthusiastic youth across to Pipalyatjara for Tafe SA’s Careers Roadshow. We are so proud of everyone for getting involved and making the most of the awesome opportunities like writing a song with DEM MOB. Check out their highlight reel to spot some special familiar faces.

So great 🤩

GALCAC is very proud of the 7 Ngaanyatjarra speakers who completed the NAATI interpreter training course this week and undertook their testing! Congratulations.

We know 2 people have passed straight away and are now qualified interpreters. Big congrats Angelica and Gino.

Now to wait for the other 5 peoples tests to be marked and get results. If someone doesn't pass, then we'll try again. And again until we succeed.

Wingellina School Campus, first swim and BBQ of the hot summer season.
Great team effort from NPY, NG Council Sports Coord and NG Media for assisting the school transporting and providing some delicious snacks for the students. Thank you Jarad and Pip school for allowing the students to come across the boarder to swim. Special mention to Ms Deon for making this happen!
