Nhill Airshow 2024
Spectators from the Wimmera and beyond were treated to a day of fantastic aerial displays at today’s Nhill Airshow, the event well supported by families, young people and also those with their own memories of the older aircraft on display.
On the ground, food vendors were run off their feet, while static displays and musical performances were also popular with the many who spent their Saturday at the Nhill Aerodrome.

A man from St. Arnaud was airlifted by the HEMS3 helicopter (air ambulance) after a single vehicle accident involving his fully loaded B-double truck while carting gypsum. The incident, which occurred at 4:30 this afternoon, saw the St. Arnaud driver unable to negotiate a tight bend, resulting in the B-trailer running over the embankment and pulling the A-trailer and prime mover over the edge of the road. The accident happened on Boundary Road near Kenmare, approximately 50km northwest of Warracknabeal.
It is believed the driver was in a stable condition prior to takeoff.
