KRISTIN BERARDI & SAM ANNING IN CONCERT
Long-term musical collaborators Kristin Berardi & Sam Anning are both award-winning musicians in their own right, and their first album, Our Songs, Not Songs, was a recipient of the Australian Jazz Bell Award in 2021 for the best jazz vocal album. Their music takes place in the space between jazz, folk, improvisation and singer-songwriter lands.
Kristin Berardi is returning from a successful career in Europe to perform with Anning in a special concert at the Point Lookout Community Hall on Stradbroke Island on Saturday the twenty second of this month in the Stradbroke Music Festival.

COMMUNITY RADIO GOES DIGITAL ON THE GOLD COAST
The CBAA (Community Broadcasting Association of Oz) has officially launched digital audio broadcasting (DAB+) for community radio stations on the Gold Coast. Three stations, 4CRB, Juice, and Radio Metro, will be available to audiences via free-to-air DAB+ digital radio across the Gold Coast following a testing period that commenced in September 2022. This makes these three stations the first community radio stations to broadcast via DAB+ outside Australia's capital cities.

On top of that, this year's first jazz concert in the annual 4MBS Festival of Classics (Thursday 18 May - watch, as they say, this space!)) would not be happening without her involvement.
With the support of our dedicated volunteers and people like Ingid, MBS Light just keeps looking (and sounding) better and better.

There are enough volunteer announcers to cover all shifts - just. But when somebody has to take a day off there's a problem.
If you enjoy the mix of light classics and music from the shows, screen, light opera and ballet why not become one of our volunteer announcers? All you need is a working knowledge of the kind of music we present, a passable voice and the ability to push a few buttons. It's that easy!
