Almost three years to the day that I put on a ground access wristband for the final time, as started and we in Melbourne had football of all disciplines cancelled, postponed, rescheduled, moved north or west, played in front of no crowds, played in front of small crowds or socially distanced crowds or variations of all of the above. It’s amazing what we forget as time moves on, but for many that time is ‘unrecoverable’. Almost a parallel universe as we watched the world through our TV’s. Three years! While we hate the reason, it's been a privilege to work with the inspiring team at Fight MND led by Neale Daniher and the indefatigable Bec Daniher over the last five years, and again for this years #BigFreeze8. The concept of the 'baggy blue' #BigFreezeForever numbered beanies for all the sliders (in the order they slid) was a fantastic innovation this year, a special alumni and number 100 slider will be named this Queens Birthday. Our idea of the guerrilla campaign to crash on-air shows and hand out the special items worked sensationally last week, and received enormous traction across all mediums, and thanks to all the producers that kept the secret from their on-air talent so the reactions were very real.
