Bio
UK-born Todd "Skippy" Skipper made his mark on Australia upon relocating to Adelaide in 2005, where he held residencies in the city's largest clubs HQ and Red Square, alongside underground icons Sugar, Electric Circus and Cuckoo. Also a regular on the festival scene, Skippy has played at Adelaide's Parklife, Stereosonic, Future Music, and Summadayze festivals, as well as Cairns' The Grass Is Greener. An accomplished radio DJ, Todd founded one of Australia's longest running dubstep and bass music radio shows - The Bassbin on Fresh 92.7 - as well as recording DJ mixes for Nova 919 and founding internet TV/radio station Soundpond.net Skippy's taste and technical skills have not gone unrecognised - he has twice been named as one of Adelaide's hottest five DJs (#3 in 2010 and #2 in 2011 - Onion Magazine), as well as competing in the Australian qualifiers for the Red Bull Thre3style DJ competition. While it all started with a love of UK garage, grime and dubstep, Skippy's broad taste in music has also seen him play at mainstream clubs; house, techno and drum & bass events; and bar/lounge sets encompassing soul, funk and jazz. Todd relocated to Cairns in 2016, where he currently holds residencies at Gilligans, Salt House, P.J. O'Brien's and Pier Bar. When not DJing, Todd spends his time running his record store, Tangent, and wondering if it's a little pretentious to write third-person bios about himself.
