A view from the bleachers! I never get to see myself as others do. Here are some photos from my visit to Saint Ignatius College Junior School. Thanks to Adriana Macdonald for organising a wonderful day. I am very hard to coax out of my studio - I much prefer drawing to presenting, but once I get in front of a class of middle-grade kids, there is no stopping the mayhem. A little bit of surfing. Some drawings to discover our emotions. We brainstorm new characters together using Mind Mapping. Then Using ProCreate I try and draw the new character. I never get it finished, so I do some homework and send the final drawing back to the class. For something different next year, book an illustrator for Book Week 2024. I spent a fantastic Book Week Tuesday with the outstanding students Saint Ignatius' College Adelaide Junior School. We learnt how to surf, how to draw faces that show emotions and then we brainstormed ideas for new characters - which I agreed to draw. Now someone needs to write a book about a Broccoli eating Dinosaur who plays Soccer. Thanks to beckybookingagent
