The Stingrays and the Comets – the winners of the 2023 LA U15 National Tournament – will look to defend their crowns on home soil with Lacrosse Australia pleased to announce that the 2024 LA U15 National Tournament will be hosted by the 2016 hosts, the Glenelg Lacrosse Club.

The Lacrosse Australia U15 National Tournament is the largest tournament held annually by Lacrosse Australia in terms of teams with around 18 teams expected to converge on West Beach for the 2024 event with states divided in regional teams. The U15 National Tournament is also an incredibly exciting event because it represents the first representative tournament for Australian lacrosse players on the Australian lacrosse pyramid with the U15 tournament the launching pad for U18s, Seniors and eventually Australian teams.

The 2024 event will be held from Sunday, 29 September 2024 concluding Saturday, 5 October 2024 with all games to be held at Barratt Reserve, West Beach.

“Glenelg Lacrosse Club is thrilled to host the U15 National tournament in September” said Glenelg President Angus Ross, “as one of the biggest clubs in Adelaide, we pride ourselves on supporting young talent and hosting a tournament where the best U15 players from across Australia and New Zealand will play a week of games at our club is great exposure for the sport in South Australia”.

With South Australia until recently holding all of the domestic field trophies (Seniors, U18 and U15) and with Glenelg’s sparking track record of host major events, Ross is confident that all players, parents and officials will be treated to another wonderful event, “we look forward to welcoming players, officials and their families and encourage them to enjoy their time in Adelaide, we have much to offer in terms of local accommodation and activities”.

With tryouts getting underway around the country, the final makeup of the 2024 field will be announced in the coming weeks.
