Hi Everyone,
Just wondering how many people have noticed the new primary school sign that has been placed in our front yard of the Health Hub blocking our Health Hub sign? I have had several patients, site visitors, reps and deliveries complain about the confusion which now makes us look like the Admin building for the school. I have contacted the School infrastructure team on numerous occasions asking for it to be removed. Although they "agree" its placement is inappropriate, and that it should be moved, they seem to be in no hurry to actually move it. The hand/guardrail which has been erected on our side of the sidewalk also has no access to the front entrance which again impedes emergency access. This as well as a light pole placed directly in front of our Business sign out the front have also been agreed that must be rectified.... again time frame unknown.
On Monday we had 2 separate incidents where an ambulance was needed to be called for patients. On both occasions both ambulance drivers found it difficult and confusing to access the Health Hub, and obstructed on exiting by trucks and forklifts ect. This is not acceptable. I have contacted council members in hope that common sense prevails and the urgency of rectifying these issues is made very clear.
I URGE you to continue to voice your thoughts and concerns to Yass Valley Council and the NSW Education Departments to have these important issues dealt with immediately! If I get no satisfaction I will be going to A Current Affair to see if they can help to restore some Common Sense to the Schools infrastructure team. I cant believe someone actually signed off on these ridiculous decisions. Lets just hope in the meant time, no ones health/life is compromised due to the confusion.
Staff at the health Hub continue to advocate for the safety of our patients and continually monitor the carpark for unauthorised vehicles to ensure our patients have parking available and that all trucks entering and exiting are done is a safe, pedestrian aware manner. Please Do Not hesitate to let reception or myself know if you have any concerns.
We are in the process of installing boom gates and hope once the school is open this will be an added measure to monitor the carpark. The boom-gates will work on a sensor as you enter via our usual entrance which will be opposite the school and a token which you will be given on completion of your consult, to exit via rose street.
