🌏❤️‍🩹 It was the healing of mother earth that initially got us on this project. But as we dug deeper, we released that what DPI NSW is doing is much bigger than that.

The impact of repairing the land by creating riparian zones and then monitoring the water quality levels not only serves the land, but also serves the mental health of the people that farm the land.

Think Digital Studios is creating a virtual experience to help highlight this important environmental project and the impact it has had.

Exciting news, our Sheep Emergency Animal Disease Augmented Reality experience is now going to be developed for Cattle! So excited. Last week we were Outback with Meat & Livestock Australia, Animal Health Australia and Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation as part of the program.

🌾 Dr Rob Barwell, Head of Program, Biosecurity was in Queensland (QLD) attending a cattle producer workshop on Monday. 🐄

The workshop is part of the Northern Breeding Business (NB2) Program, facilitated by Ian Perkins of LPM QLD and supported by Meat & Livestock Australia, Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation (ILSC) & AHA. 🤝

This 3-day event focuses on practical productivity improvements for indigenous cattle enterprises and collaboration opportunities. 🌱

AHA is also introducing immersive tech tools developed with Think Digital Studios to enhance biosecurity and EAD awareness. 🚀

Across the 12 days of the Sydney Royal Easter Show 8,354 visitors attended the Meat & Livestock Australia Paddock to Plate experience.

Of those visitors, 3,300 were surveyed about their experience.

“After immersing themselves in a VR farm tour, 71% of participants surveyed said they had a greater understanding of the Australian red meat industry.”

“It’s become clear that taking people straight to the source – the farm gate – is an unmatched route to educate the public on what meat production really looks like.”

The experience itself saw people wearing VR headsets so they felt as if they were on a farm, with additional videos to address sustainability, meat quality, traceability and animal welfare practices.

“Having this technology where someone can insert themselves into a scenario is a really popular and entertaining way of communicating a message,” Samantha said.

The Sydney Royal Easter Show is synonymous with agriculture, and this year’s event was another invaluable chance to bring the world of red meat production to those in the city.

What could be more fun than working with animals? Working with kids and animals to create a Farm Safety Virtual Tour! Especially the A-team of students, animals and a teacher worthy of an Oscar at Urrbrae Agricultural High School 🚜

Using 2D video, drone work and 360 photos and video, we captured all the content needed to put together a really fun and more importantly, informative tool that will be used in schools to demonstrate safe animal handling, chemical, machinery and tractor use on Australian farms.

Today we're sending our beloved Jess Bidstrup, the very first employee (outside of Tim Gentle and Kat Bidstrup) of Think Digital Studios and all round wunderkind off into the big wide world. That's right folks, she's packing up her backpack and heading off to explore, experience and discover!

Many of you have had the pleasure of working directly with Jess. She travelled on Rocky, taking the Lamb Paddock to Plate story for MLA around Australia, visited all of the capital city Ag shows (and many of the small ones) with pop up Think Digital displays or on behalf of Woolies, learnt the skills of editing and post production, project management and XR production, presented at events and has created a lasting legacy for us and our clients. Jess has also pioneered the development of our internal systems and processes, and we have a studio knowledge base that is second to none.

There are not many projects that Jess has not contributed to in some way. Amazing!

She is part of the Think Digital fabric and we will miss her greatly. Bon Voyage Jess! No matter how far you roam, you will always have a home with us.

What is a problem worth solving using technology? How about supporting Australia's most remote producers to identify emergency animal diseases that threaten to shut down an entire industry?

I remember the confronting images from the UK during the outbreak of Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) in the 90s, and so when FMD and Lumpy Skin Disease (L*D) were on the march last year towards Australia, it was only natural that Tim Gentle and Kat Bidstrup with the Think Digital Studios team wanted to use our experience and passion to see if we could support remote producers and the entire livestock industry with a dynamic and easy to use training and diagnostic tool.

Over the last 12 months we have been partnering with and experts , Microsoft, various industry representatives and some incredible vets to develop a tool that uses AI to identify if a condition in cattle is FMD or L*D.

We wanted to prove the technology could work in this way - and it definitely can! Introducing RemoteVet.ai, a tool that uses AI to predict the likelihood of a cow having FMD or L*D.

Primary Industries Education Foundation Australia-PIEFA is developing a resource for use in schools across Australia all about farm safety. It's hard to believe, but teenagers find most adults a bit dull, especially when trying to engage them about something like safety...

🎬 Enter stage right four hilarious and engaging lads from Urrbrae, a cast of wonderful students and a super star teacher. What better way for kids to learn than to learn from other kids!

It was a really fun production for the Think Digital Studios team, and the myth of never working with animals or children totally BUSTED! This production's Tim Gentle Rising Star award goes to teacher Damien Brookes, aka Booka. Contact his agent for future opportunities 🤣

Think Digital Studios solves problems in Agricuture using XR technologies and one of our agreements to our community is to help light purposeful campfires. We believe all boats rise when we work together.

As such, Tim doing what he does best, helped to bring together a triple meetup event to light such campfires and create cross polution opportunities amongst the Meetup groups; which included Agritech Meetup South Australia, Adelaide Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality Adelaide.

Hosted by the amazing team at ThincLab (thanks Eloise) we had our bus parked proudly out the front and also enjoyed some great presentations and demos by a lineup of local and interstate stars including.
