How has COVID impacted your business?
We launched in January 2020 so within weeks we had to change our whole go to market plan. Initially we had planned to be in top end restaurants and bars but as they closed we built our business online. It was challenging at first but it has been great to get to know our customers and really understand what they are looking for.
During Covid so many more people took a break from alcohol and that has been great to help our tiny business to grow.

What have you learnt from COVID?
We have learnt so much during COVID, each day was a new and different challenge. We learnt to move quickly, change plans and find other ways.
But most of all we learnt of the importance of our local community. The personal support and love we have received from our local customers has been incredible and on a hard day it was often their encouragement and support that would keep us moving forward. It has been amazing and something we will never forget.

What is your business best known for or have you any special events coming up? We’re best known for our coffee and cocktails, and as one of Sydney’s best bottomless long lunches (available weekends).

How has COVID impacted your business? It’s been devastating to not only our business but our staff. We’re a dine in restaurant predominantly, so having to move to takeaway was tough. We adjusted though and have been taking each challenge as it comes.

What have you learnt from COVID? That the Dee Why and the greater northern beaches community is one of the most supportive, amazing groups in Sydney. The messages, support and general chat when people have frequented our venue to support us, our surrounding business and staff has been heartwarming.

How has COVID impacted your business?
We were able to offer pick-up service in March 2020 with the first lockdown, but too anxious and worried about the spread of virus when northern beaches went into lockdown in December 2020, so decided to close for service completely until it calmed down a bit.
What have you learnt from COVID? Since COVID, we have had to reduce our capacity in order to follow the social distancing rules, most of our diners are very supportive and understanding, however we've had some conflicts with a few diners because of all the rules that we have to follow in order for us to stay in business without risking anyone's health and getting a fine! Our team and diners' health is our biggest priority.
Now is possibly the best time to learn lessons from the bad and good experiences of living through this pandemic. We learn to be grateful with what we have, a supportive community, friends and family.
