This sweet cockatiel has made it into the 2026 Aussie parrots calendar. He’s so lucky. I chose the cockatiel in memory of our boy Skit who lived for 23 years! This one is joined by 11 other colourful chirpers.

🎨 5 fun facts about the artist behind the colours 💕
I’ve been sharing my work, but not much about me for a while!
So here are a few colourful little things you might not know 😄✨

🎨 I’ve been designing for over two decades. Long before ‘AI’ was even a buzzword! But I’ve kept that same spark of joy I had, colouring as a kid.

🖍️ I make art to help people pause and smile, even if just for a moment. Because I believe colour and whimsy can brighten even the hardest day.

🦘 I’m an Aussie illustrator with a knack for giving animals big personalities, from elephants riding skateboards, to meditating koalas (and everything in between).

🌈 My style is bold, cheeky, and heart centred, blending my designer’s eye with a childlike sense of wonder. I create for kids and adults with playful minds.

📖 I’ve just finished writing my first children’s picture book since University. A dream project that’s about to come to life as I start illustrating it myself.

A couple of weeks ago I had a rare ladies day out and met my friend Narelle from for lunch and drinks along the Yarra. It was a blissful afternoon with live music, long chats and loads of laughter. I first met Narelle 20 years ago when, as a young (and super naive) country lass, I travelled to the city for an interview for my first full time job in the design industry. It led to 5 years in a position I loved, designing and illustrating greeting cards, gift wrap and bags, calendars and all the fun things that went with it. Narelle was the best boss, mentoring me through work and life, and so much of what I know today, I learnt from her. Topping that, we remain great friends, and never seem to run out of meaningful conversation. Always grateful for my special friendships in life 💛🧡🩷
