Murri’s on the Move is heading out to our community next week to facilitate their learner licence program. This FREE program allows anyone 16 years or older to gain a learner's licence. This program can also assist anyone who may have low literacy and numeracy as full support is provided.

We encourage participants to attend Transport to apply for their customer reference number (CRN) and have their photo taken. Participants will need this CRN to register for the program (not essential, but preferred).

Don’t forget that we will be attending the Burdekin Junior FC Carnival on Sunday, 14th July. This is an annual favourite for our club and gives our players some game experience outside of their comfort zone. (Please give us ample notice if you are unable to attend the Burdekin Carnival, so we can adjust our teams accordingly.

Gulf to Gulf Bike Ride 2024 🚴‍♂️🚴🚴‍♀️

Outbike Australia’s 30-day Gulf to Gulf cycling event is on again! 23 cyclists, including 8 from NZ and 4 from Canada, started from Port Augusta on May 16.

They are scheduled to arrive at Birdsville in just over a week on May 30. From Birdsville, the convoy will travel around Lake Machatie on June 1 to the Simpson Desert Oasis Bedourie for a stopover on June 2, before heading to Boulia by June 4.

Please keep an eye out for the cyclists who are travelling with 3-4 support vehicles and give them a big Diamantina welcome :)
