So excited (and nervous) to get this out.

I sat down with from a while ago to have a chat about himself, his business and how he had grown it over the past several years.

The full episode will be out everywhere Monday ✌️

This is honestly how it feels sometimes 😭😭

Real business results... We're not worried about likes or shares - we make our clients money 💰

We really enjoy working with Tattoo Numbing Cream Co.

The month following this, we hit a little over $165k and $150k months are now the norm.

The only problem we have, is that we keep running them out of stock 😂

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐎𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐟 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬

Golf is simple. Put the ball in the hole, in as few strokes as possible.

Business is also simple. Provide a solution to a problem (product/service) and people pay for it.

However, simple does not mean easy.

A great golfers game looks like this:

1. Hit a solid drive, long and straight down the middle of the fairway and get the ball in a decent position to approach the green.

2. Pitch, chip, lob the ball onto the green close to the hole.

3. Putt the ball into the hole.

Sounds good in theory - but we all know it ain’t that easy.

If a golfers drive slices hard and ends up in the hazard, they aren’t going to be set up well for the rest of the hole.

If they can’t pitch to save themselves, they’ll be adding unwanted strokes.

And, if their putting sucks - they ain’t got a chance of coming in under par.

So how does this all relate to business?

As we all (should) know marketing & sales is in direct relation to the success of any business.

This relates to golf is as followed;

1.The driver or tee shot. This is your marketing/branding efforts. Here your aim is to get that ball (customer) as far down that fairway and as close to the hole (sale) as possible.

2. The short game - pitches, chips & lobs. You’re so close and you just have get the ball onto the green (into your sales process) - This is where your direct response marketing efforts are (think advertising your current offers).

3. Once you’ve got your ball onto the green all you gotta do is tap the ball in, right? This is your sales process/team - gently guiding the customer to the sale (hole).

Now, if marketing/branding misses the mark or does not resonate with (potential) customers, the short game (advertising) is gonna be a lot harder (more expensive).

The business may even lose the ball (customer) completely.

See how important it is to have all these functions working properly?

Once a business has all their shots dialled in, life becomes a lot easier.

Need more customers? Just rock up to the course (run a campaign).

We see lots of businesses who have some of these functions working properly but they’re just missing one.

Fix that one shot/function, everything else gets easier and in most cases improves.

If you're looking to sharpen up your game, let’s chat.

You can book a call with us to see where business is at and how we may be able to help.

It costs nothing, we won’t pitch you and you may discover something you can implement right away.

Dear Business Owners,
-
If you want to win, don't do what this guy does in this clip.
-
Please understand that Facebook™ and social are not the online equivalents of sending out flyers in the mail and praying to god that someone does business with you.
-
It's called social media for a reason.
-
People use social to catch up with friends, watch cat videos and stalk peoples profiles.
-
They're definitely online waiting for ads to pop up telling them to "CALL NOW".
-
Nobody cares about you or your business. They care about themselves and their problems.
-
Your mindset needs to shift.
-
When you create content, ask yourself, how does this serve? How am I helping? What value do I bring?
-
Do this well, and people will eventually throw money at you, without you ever having to ask.

Whoever can profitably spend the most money on Facebook ads in 2018 will win.
-
Own your geo. Own your demo. Own your industry. Own your niche. Don’t over complicate it.
-
Know your customer. Speak their language. Work on your relationships with your customers through mediums like Facebook, Instagram etc. and sales will be the byproduct.

Targeting and offer. The 2 overlooked principles of Facebook advertising.
-
The Facebook ad product is the most sophisticated, profitable marketing tool the world has ever seen. Yet, if your targeting and offer are not aligned, you will be flushing money down the toilet till the cows come home.
-
It’s important to know your target market. Know them well. Extremely well.
-
This will give you the ability to craft irresistible offers that your audience will feel like they’re doing themselves a disservice if they do not accept.

Consumers don’t want their entertainment interrupted by advertisements, advertisers must become the entertainment.

There’s only 3 ways to increase revenue and grow your business:

1. Increase the number of clients/customers.
2. Increase the size of sale per client.
3. Increase the number of times a client/customer returns to purchase.

And when you use digital marketing correctly, you can achieve all 3 simultaneously and realise substantial growth.

When getting started in digital marketing, it’s important to ask yourself a few questions.

What is my goal and how will I measure results?

What channels/platforms do I want to use and why?

What resources am I going to deploy? time or money?

Who is my ideal client/customer and what are their behaviours online?

It’s important that answer these questions so you can develop a plan, execute against it then test the results.

In my opinion, it all starts with a website. If you don’t have a website in 2017 you are not relevant. You only have to look at yourself and your own actions to realise the truth to this statement. When you first become aware of a brand or business, what do you do? Check out their website?

Consumers are much wiser and informed these days and will quickly disregard your business if they cannot see you online to assess whether or not they want to engage you for your products or services.

Your website is your most important/vital digital pillar. It will ride the test of time with the ebbs and flows of the internet, social media, search engines, digital advertising etc. As these other platforms come and go your website will perpetuate and evolve with you and your business as you will not be subject to the success or failure of any particular platform.

The same can be said for email and an email list.

Email serves many functions for a business online. It can be used to communicate with your clients/customers, market products and services, nurture potential clients/customers/leads etc.

It’s important to constantly think of ways to build your email list

As with the website, email is a pillar of your digital marketing that you own and can do with as you like. As the saying goes, “never build a house on rented land”.

Now once you have your website sorted and email strategy in place, you want to consider methods to drive people to your website or sign up to your email list.

Social Media and Search Engines are two core pillars that can increase the number of people who land on your website.

Social media marketing and search engine optimization (SEO) are free to use in nature however they’re not quick fixes. They require a substantial amount of ongoing work, but the rewards of a successful strategy can be fruitful.

Social and search engines have paid options such as Facebook Ads and Google AdWords. These can be relatively cheap to purchase compared to other traditional advertising channels (radio, tv, print etc.) and can provide quicker results that you can track, measure and attribute directly to website traffic or sales.

There are many other ways to market your business online but if you can get your website, email list, social media profiles and SEO effectively running in harmony, you should be well on your way to growing your revenue and business by one or more of the 3 ways.
