Today kicks off National Reconciliation Week. This is an important time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. Reconciliation is an ongoing journey that reminds us that while generations of Australians have fought hard for meaningful change, future gains are likely to take just as much, if not more, effort.
This year's theme is 'NOW, MORE THAN EVER', a reminder that the fight for justice and the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will — and must — continue. This is especially so after the failed referendum last year.
Reconciliation starts with us. Visit the Reconciliation Australia website for more information and to discover what activities and events are taking place in your local area during National Reconciliation Week.

It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of academic, filmmaker, and Hardie Grant author Frances Peters-Little.
Her biography of her father Jimmy Little, that she had taken many years to research and write was published in 2023 to wide acclaim.
Her publisher Pam Brewster remembers her this way. “Frances had a big heart, her biography of her famous father brought to life the richness of his career and the love story that was her family life”.
Her book will stand as a powerful memorial to both father and daughter.
To all her loved ones we express our condolences.
