Pumped to get the new Sports Training & Recovery Australia website and full business rebrand published 👊 Big shout out to Melissa in the Flex team who took the lead on this and worked closely with the STAR team to bring it to life.

A new exciting chapter for STAR that also includes a Members App 📲 Still a bit more work to do with some new initiatives in the pipeline as well.

What gets you fired up? 😎🔥 For me, it’s anytime I see a mention of the mighty Richmond Tigers 🐯 👊

I was down the coast today for a client meeting near GC Suns Stadium and had to take this pic. This was straight after the client meeting where there was already a lot of positive energy about our work in together.

Absolutely love it any time we’re able to work with a client who brings the same sort of energy that we do at Flex 💪

Today I received one of the most thoughtful and humbling gifts ever…an actual star ⭐️ named after Flex Public Relations

A heartfelt thank you to Lily Grubb and the whole team for this incredible gift.

Flex Collective is the official company name behind Flex PR, which was born in the month of June and hence makes the business a Gemini ♊️ So it’s appropriate we have a star named after us in that constellation 💫

It’s an absolute honour for the Flex team and I to work with Lily & Little Grubbs. We’re honoured to receive such a show of appreciation.

This isn’t lost on us and we look forward to making 2024 the biggest and best year yet 🙌

Just need to find some time to put it up on the Flex wall!

Are you on the offence or on the defence? 🤔

I'll be the first to admit that it's slightly more complicated than this, but with a few new clients coming onboard late 2023 and booked in for next year - this is a common question we use in our onboarding process.

It essentially asks the question - does your audience need to be found, or are they already looking for you?

As an example, here are 2 types of businesses that fit on either side of this question. Car Wholesaler vs. Plastering.

The car wholesaler is on the offence and actively seeks out people who are interested in selling their car vs. the plastering business who is on the defence and aims to capture customers who are searching for plastering services to fill that hole that have in their wall.

Each type of customer (Offence vs. Defence) has a different mindset and will ask different questions about using your service, hence we need different messages and strategy for each.

These are sometimes very subtle, but can make all the difference.

And that's not to say that all businesses fit exclusively in either side, but many will find that they do have a predominate fit depending on their industry.

If your marketing and campaigns aren't pulling the results you might expect, it could be that you're on the wrong side of the fence when it comes to Offence Vs. Defence 😉

Today was our last full in person Flex Public Relations team meeting for the year with Melissa going on some very well earned annual leave from this afternoon.

Kylie, Mikaela and myself will still be working through to Friday next week, before also having some time off to recharge for 2024.

Special shout out to our video & photo specialist Lachy too who is already enjoying his holidays 😎

It’s been awesome to welcome Kylie & Mikaela onboard Flex this year, who have brought a new level of energy, enthusiasm and skills onto the team, alongside Mel and Lachy who have been part of Flex for the past few years.

It puts us in a great position to offer more value, services and opportunities for our clients in 2024 and beyond 🚀

Sunday night I had the honour of being MC 🎤 in front of 4,000+ people for the biggest crowd the Centenary Christmas Carols has ever seen! 🎅🏼🎵

Making it all the more special was that my family, parents, siblings, nephews and nieces all came along to support and join in the fun 💛

It’s an absolute blast being on stage behind the mic 🎤 with special thanks to Trevor Bryce, Anthony Percival and the Carols Committee for giving me the privilege.

Hope everyone enjoyed the night. See you again in 2024 😁

Sliding doors moment 🚪🔁 Almost exactly 4 years to the day, I was recently back at the original and the very first client who said ‘yes’ to doing work with me as I set out on my entrepreneurial journey.

Little did Dr Sanjeev or I know at the time, but I owe almost the entire journey of Flex to him saying yes to some videos when I literally cold called by walking in off the street into his dental practice in Browns Plains in late 2019.

If he had said no like many others did on that day and if I hadn’t had that early win - then who knows whether I’d be fortunate enough to be in the position I am today 🙏

Fast forward 4 years and both our teams have grown, our logos/branding has changed and we both look a little older, but our smiles are bigger than ever before 😄✌️

Lesson of the story? Take a risk, be bold and ask the question. Put yourself out there at the risk of rejection and defeat, but with the chance of success and progression.

Don’t wait for it to come to you. Go out and get it 👊

Even though I’m Richmond 🐯 through and through, it’s going to look great on the Flex Public Relations office wall.

And of course, my little guy Harvey will be over the moon with it!
