Announcing my limited edition print 'Schloss Blitz'!

I am super excited to release a very limited edition print of my most iconic Heidelberg photograph.

I shot this photo in July last year, after 5 years of trying - returning cold, wet, and disappointed every other time.

Only 10 prints of this scene will ever be made, and I'm keeping one of them!

There is the option to have the print on an Aluminium Dibond, or on Fuji Crystal archive behind acrylic glass. Both look incredible when printed large, with unparalleled vibrance and details!

The bucket shot! ⚡️

I still can not believe I got this shot last night…

Someone mentioned how lucky I got, and, honestly, I was thinking the same thing.

Then I remembered that my ‘luck’ was the result of literally years of running outside for every storm, missing the perfect shot because my settings were off, or lighting struck between exposures, or the shot being ruined because the lens was soaked.

99 times out of 100 I come home drenched with nothing to show for it.

Because of those ‘failures’, I was able to find the right spot, get the settings perfect first go, and capture this shot within 5 minutes of walking out my door last night.

Sometimes you make your own luck!

I'm from the North Island, but still, so much of this landscape was completely mind-blowing for me, and a reminder of how much there is to discover in our own backyard.

New Zealand is undoubtedly one of the most stunning places on the planet (in my totally unbiased opinion), and one of the best places to live... except if you have Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic condition that mostly affects the lungs. In recent years there have been huge developments in CF medication, which are working miracles for CF people all over Europe and the US, but which is not available in NZ (unless you have a spare half-million per year).
The drug is called Trikafta, and the group is advocating for it to be funded in New Zealand. So from now on, until the drug is funded, I will be giving 20% of all proceeds from sales of my NZ prints to Trikafta for Kiwis. Check the link below to get to the print store!
