Goodbye for now. Thanks again for all the love and support on my journey with Missing Panther. It’s highly possible sometime in the future I’ll produce some more episodes but for now I will be following a new path. Just finished the final interview with Mike Williams who will again be doing the voiceover for David OReilly (author of Savage Shadow). After 2 hours of tummy laughter and debriefing on everything else but big cats we finally got to work. 😂Mike and Rebecca’s investigation, which took them over 14 years and led to their incredible book Australian Big Cats, is one journey I take my hat off to. Not only has it inspired me to complete the Missing Panther podcast series it’s has become known by many as Australia’s big cat Bible. Thanks for being an absolute legend and sharing a plethora of information over the last few years and I think a bigger thank you is in order to both you and Rebecca Lang for re-releasing the cult classic Savage Shadow. I hope you’re both working on another book in secret 🙏

Back home where the big cat obsession all began for me. So many stories from humble country folks who want no spotlight at all but just want to share what they know they saw. I’m sorry but you just can’t dismiss what these property owners have to say. I know I never will.
It’s bloody cold here too. More stories yet to come in the near future. Oh and my hairy brother saw something years back run in front of his dirt bike. He says big black cat the size of a large dog. Sound familiar?

I thought it’d be appropriate I publish the first episode on the same day. It just feels right. Also big thanks to Mike Williams author of Australian Big Cats for taking on the voiceover role of David O’Reilly. David OReilly’s family were kind enough to send me one of the very few original copies of his book Savage Shadow which arrived today. Since these next two episodes follow his journey it’s probably appropriate that I hit the ‘Publish episode’ button for part 1 and stop fussing about right?

Following the journey of the late David O’Reilly who investigated big cats in Western Australia for .australian newspaper in the late 1970’s. I do my best to track down those who were around at the time and happy to share what they remember. The response has been so good that I’ve turned this into a two part series. Part 1 only weeks away. Also happy to announce Mike Williams author of Australian Big Cats will be undertaking the voiceover role for David O’Reilly. I’ll be attempting to bring to life an incredible story which was almost lost in the ages until Mike Williams and Rebecca Lang rebirthed David O’Reilly’s book Savage Shadow. It’s been a struggle getting these episodes off the ground but I’m really happy with how both eps are looking. Stay tuned.
