Got any stock kill photos that you believe resemble Big Cat? Send them to [email protected] so we can have them looked at by those who know more than me but also have an interest in the topic. Everything is confidential but please leave some context to photos. Rough location, approx date, why you believe its unusual and any BC activity in local area you know of like sightings, kills etc. Looking forward to your emails. Ben
Are big cats really roaming the British countryside? DNA evidence found in Gloucestershire 'conclusively proves' that leopards are living amongst us, tracker Rhoda Watkins says
Who's seen a big cat in QLD?
Big cat expert Rick Minter insists the Stroud valleys boasts compelling evidence as a rich habitat for big cats after DNA from a black hair caught on a barbed wire fence following a sheep attack has offered "definitive proof" of the big cats' existence.

Thanks again to Lyn Hancock for sharing her expertise and opinion on the events in Cordering WA in the 70's. Check out some of these photos of Lyn playing with Cougars like you would with an ordinary house cat. How awesome would that be? Lyn's had an incredible life around all kinds of animals and she's managed to put much of it in books. If you're interested in checking out more go to Lyns Website lynhancock.com to find out more about her life or to order one of her many books. I'll add Lyns Cougar thesis to Missing Panther website as soon as I work out how to shrink large PDF's. Tell us what you think of Lyns photos and her input into episode 9 of Missing Panther.
Did you enjoy the story of Koenig in episode 9 as much as I did? It really was a privilege to be able to speak with people who were in Cordering over 40 years ago and still able to recall the events with such clarity.
Thanks to Honey Richardson and Mike Williams for sharing the attached photos.

Episode 9
Cougar Country (Part2)
I hope you enjoy this one and please, all I ask in return is to take 30 seconds to give it a review on Apple podcast or google. Many thanks to everyone for following my journey on big cats in Australia. Maybe one day more episodes will drop. Maybe. Take care and thanks again. š¾š¾
Just finished the final interview with Mike Williams who will again be doing the voiceover for David OReilly (author of Savage Shadow). After 2 hours of tummy laughter and debriefing on everything else but big cats we finally got to work. šMike and Rebeccaās investigation, which took them over 14 years and led to their incredible book Australian Big Cats, is one journey I take my hat off to. Not only has it inspired me to complete the Missing Panther podcast series itās has become known by many as Australiaās big cat Bible. Thanks for being an absolute legend and sharing a plethora of information over the last few years and I think a bigger thank you is in order to both you and Rebecca Lang for re-releasing the cult classic Savage Shadow. I hope youāre both working on another book in secret š
Missing Panther -Cougar Country (part 2) is one step closer
An investigation is underway into the "smuggling mafia" who allegedly bought the animals off hunters with the intention of keeping them as pets. Full story: https://bit.ly/3QZusIh
A few loose ends to tie up first but just letting you know weāre very close. A feature length episode on big cat stories straight out of WA both past and present. Keep your eyes peeled folks because something lurks in the shadows. Stay tuned.
Bumping into podcasting friends on a chilli winters afternoon at
and was great to chat with you guys at the booze stand, where all incredible podcast ideas are born.
Back home where the big cat obsession all began for me. So many stories from humble country folks who want no spotlight at all but just want to share what they know they saw. Iām sorry but you just canāt dismiss what these property owners have to say. I know I never will.
Itās bloody cold here too. More stories yet to come in the near future. Oh and my hairy brother saw something years back run in front of his dirt bike. He says big black cat the size of a large dog. Sound familiar?
Fun episode with Grant Denyer] and chatting about big cats in Oz. Excuse my excited ramblings but when you love the story of the Aussie panther as much as me you tend to talk too much š. As Grant Denyer] said I need to change my saying to āLong Story Longā. Enjoy this one and just know thereās always forward progress on new eps no matter how slow I am š

Just when I get motivated to get some work done, I find another way to procrastinate.
Vancouver Island chance encounter. How long would you sit in a hide for just to see this and what 3 things would you take? Food and water already supplied.
Missing Panther Episode 8
Cougar Country (part 1) available now on most podcast platforms. Today I received an original copy of David OReillyās āSavage Shadowā posted to me by his family. I thought itād be appropriate I publish the first episode on the same day. It just feels right. Also big thanks to Mike Williams author of Australian Big Cats for taking on the voiceover role of David OāReilly. Please take a moment to rate Missing Panther on Apple Podcasts or Google review and tell us what you think of the series this far. Thanks to everyone for all the comments and interest in this podcast, It sure makes it easier to keep pushing forward.
Enjoy š¾š¾
David OReillyās family were kind enough to send me one of the very few original copies of his book Savage Shadow which arrived today. Since these next two episodes follow his journey itās probably appropriate that I hit the āPublish episodeā button for part 1 and stop fussing about right?
Following the journey of the late David OāReilly who investigated big cats in Western Australia for .australian newspaper in the late 1970ās. I do my best to track down those who were around at the time and happy to share what they remember. The response has been so good that Iāve turned this into a two part series. Part 1 only weeks away. Also happy to announce Mike Williams author of Australian Big Cats will be undertaking the voiceover role for David OāReilly. Iāll be attempting to bring to life an incredible story which was almost lost in the ages until Mike Williams and Rebecca Lang rebirthed David OāReillyās book Savage Shadow. Itās been a struggle getting these episodes off the ground but Iām really happy with how both eps are looking. Stay tuned.
Donāt give up the search, keep your eyes peeled. Percy knows whatās out there.
