Kylie is Pure Grit personified, surviving over 2 years of living hell (most of which was spent in isolation in a tiny cell). It’s hard to fathom surviving such torture.
She is now an author, her book is called The Uncaged Sky. Stripped of all basic human rights, her story is harrowing. We talk very openly about her childhood and what lead her to study the Middle East. Kylie is unflinchingly honest as we talk about survival, new love, and new beginnings.

Pat Farmer AM is a multiple world record holder for endurance running. In his 30 year ultra marathon running career , has run from the North Pole to the South Pole taking 10 months 13 days with not one day off. He as run the length of India and Vietnam , through the Middle East, across America and Australia . Pat also served 8 years as a Member of Parliment. He has raised millions of dollars for charities and was awarded the high honour of the Order of Australia for his ultra marathon running , politics and charitable works. Having never run before he was inspired by the great Cliff Young at 18 and ran the Sydney to Melbourne Ultra. He is Pure Grit....this wonderful warm man with an incredible story will inspire you all.

Phil Burton has been at the top of his field for over 2 decades as a member of the legendary Aussie quartet Human Nature. Human Nature have achieved huge success both in Australia and the US (including a record breaking residence in Vegas). He has an Order of Australia Medal, was inducted into the Aria Hall of Fame with the band, he’s an incredible singer, keyboard player and guitarist and one of the most down to earth stars on the planet. Even with all this success, there have certainly been tough times in his career and life.
Phil has recently made the huge decision to stay here in Australia and not return to Vegas with Human Nature. On this podcast we talk about old times, fun times and of course the tough times. I have always loved Phil and the band and it is my pleasure to have him on Pure Grit

Jamie was haunted by the brutal death of Kirra McLoughlin, a beautiful young 27 year old mother of 4. He met Kirra on a domestic violence call out and 6 months later she was dead.
