Rummaging through an old filing cabinet draw, I came across my 30+ year old Olympus OM4. Nostalgic moment. Surprisingly it is mould free, but still shows its age. This camera had a battery current leakage issue and I had installed a voltage isolating switch. The shutter has a single mechanical setting of 1/60 sec, which seems to work fine.

Ok, I know that you guys already knew all this, but I just tested the following with perfect results:
Fuji X-H2S hooked up to a Sound Devices MixPre 6 Mk2, such that pressing the shutter release on the camera, automatically started recording on the Sound Devices, with synced TC on both. Stopping the camera recording also stops the sound recording.
The benefits of this are many:
you will never forget to start/stop the audio recorder
you have multiple XLR inputs that are individually recorded at 32 bit float
you get a mixed 2 channel sound onto the camera, recorded at line level input (if you have the Sound Assist plugin then that can be assigned to one of the channels)
the sound files are in perfect TC sync with the video
The setup was to
set the X-H2S to provide HDMI Out, with TC and Control
set the MixPre TC to Fujifilm TC; free run; Record trigger Fujifilm HDMI
