And the 3,500 Cypriots kept up this barrage of chanting, singing and bouncing up and down until three minutes into added time when Utd finally scored against an inspired Amonia keeper. Until that moment it seemed they would claim an unlikely point after being under siege from the home side for 90 minutes but a mixture of wayward finishing, last gasp defending and an outstanding performance from the Nigerian stopper Francis Uzoho were all for nothing as substitute Scott McTominay pounced deep into stoppage time. Omonia Nicosia are now winless in 18 away games in major European competitions but a point at Old Trafford would have been treated as a win and all they had to do was hang on for just 120 seconds…

Three times City held a two goal advantage over a resilient Real Madrid but eventuall had to settle for a 4-3 success. At the end the fan’s probably felt a sense of frustration with the result in what was a epic encounter. Remember when Champions League semis were dour, low scoring affairs? PS No flags were harmed in the making of this video😀

Atletico Madrid fans in rapturous mood as the final whistle goes on their deserved 1-0 victory at Old Trafford over Man Utd taking them through to the quarter finals of the Champions League 2-1 on aggregate.
