We are so excited to welcome to the Sonora Studios team.

Lachlan’s music career began with his first band, ‘Yours Truly’. They achieved national and international success, touring overseas when he was just 19.

Lachlan’s focus in more recent years has shifted to engineering and producing after completing his Advnaced Diploma of Music Production at the Grove Studios Academy.

Lachlan has recently been working with bands and artists such as Closure, Refinery Drive, Jilk Box, A Swift Farewell, Khaos Emrld and more, covering a wide variety of genres.

Being a multi-instrumentalist and a songwriter, Lachlan is able to assist in all areas of the production and aims to bring your next project to new heights.

Introducing our V72 Microphone Preamp. One of the pinnacle pieces of German audio engineering.

These preamplifiers were built during the post WWII era for radio broadcasting. This unit dates somewhere between 1951 and 1963 and sounds absolutely phenomenal.

What is a microphone preamp? Just as electric guitars need a guitar amp to boost their signal, so do microphones. The quality of the pre amp, along with microphone selection, are the two most important parts of your recording chain.

No aircon, no worries. Our first session in the studio pre launch with and came in at 103 in the hottest 100 today.

We had our studio window put in that morning, the aircon yet to be installed and most of the session was done with minimal clothing on a very hot day!
