Taking flight? Don't wing it with powerlines. Powerlines can pose a safety risk for recreational and general aviation pilots involved in low level flying. Whether you’re involved in aerial application, recreational flying or other aerial activities – plan ahead before you take flight. Know where powerlines are with the Look Up and Live app.
The Look up and Live app is available at the App or Google Play store, or by visiting essentialenergy.com.au/lookupandlive. The app has made overhead powerline locations and imagery available via an interactive geospatial map, and you can use it to search locations in real time and to overlay maps with third party mapping programs.
It’s also worth considering installing aerial markers in higher risk areas, such as private airstrips – talk to Essential Energy about what options might be available for your property.
