Its been a while since i have been posting but during this while I completed 2 more courses. The digital marketing one was very through and lengthy and took over half a year to complete. Not that i want to specialize in digital marketing but it is so important to understand for any online business owner. Podcasting and video marketing is one small way to market but it is clearer now how to use it in funnels and drive traffic to your business or organization.
The business systems and process is all about streamlining your systems to save time and be able to delegate. They teach how to create step by step process and my clients have already seen improvement in the way we work together.

The Relief from Grief podcast has finally launched! Last year I lost my 2 year old son to a freak accident. Grief was a new emotion. An emotion i never before felt so intently. I learned grief goes in waves. Most days I am fine but sometimes there are triggers. The Relief from Grief podcast has interviews with a range of people from personal accounts to profeesionals. So have you been wondering what's been happening with this podcast? So we have a few episodes recorded and edited and some more ready for editing. This podcast is not launching until the first 12 episodes are ready. This way she will get half a years worth of episodes prepared.
The podcast is going to be all about Grief. I lost my two year old child last year and have been going through the waves of grief over the past year I have and found the episodes insightful . I am sure others going through grief will also find it insightful. I am so grateful that i can turn around traumatic experience of loosing a child into helping to launch a podcast on grief. So keep your eyes open and the podcast will soon be out.

The most important way to get listeners is to be consistent. Maybe decide on weekly if that is too much do fortnightly. Or even do a series of 12 episodes and then a break. When podcasts are constant people are more likely to keep on coming back. They will help give you traction on whatever you are trying to promote and people will remember you better. I recommend starting with 5 episodes recorded before you even start. And to record a few weeks in advance so you can make sure you will keep on track even if life comes up. If it is too hard to do weekly do less often but be consistent. I have seen podcasts that start with a few and then sporadically put out content. The problem is the consumer never knows when to come back. If you are taking a break tell your audience do not just disapear. Realize that you need a couple hours a week to put out a weekly podcast and schedule it.

By our third meeting which was after a long break this client already had her mic. This person plans to record interviews through zoom. I taught her how to set up a zoom meeting and invitation as she had never did it before. We played around with her mci and tested it out and tested recording. By then the intro and outro voiceover was done by a professional voice artist. I had already pre-selected a choice of 3 music tracks so we listened and choose a track for the intro and outro and branding. We also discussed how to promote the podcast once it is done. By now a week later the cover art is done and intro and outro done. This podcast is falling into place. I can not wait to announce the topic as it is such a needed topic and will help so many people and give so much support

I was listening to a podcast recently and i was able to hear the train come by a few times on the podcast and even the podcast host was getting annoyed by it. When recording make sure you record in a quiet room. A small carpeted room is better then a large room with wooden floor as there is less echo. Best is in a walk in wardrobe where the sound is not bounced on the walls. It makes for a better quality recording. It is a lot easier to fix the recording quality when recording then when editing.

On our second session we confimed the podcast name. We discussed intro and outro and what sort of text is included. The outro always needs to have a call to action. So we discussed what the call to action should be for this podcast. We discussed cover art and who will do it. We also set up appointlet so that they can book interviews easily. The last thing we covered was brainstorming people to interview and topics. I am so excited for this podcast to come out as it is a topic I am passionate about and relevant to my life. I am sure it will be helpful to many people. Can you guess the topic? Something that has been going on in my personal life recently.

So excited to have started with a new client on launching her podcast. I will walk you through our zoom meetings so you can see what it would be like working with me. Our first meeting we did the podcast strategy workbook. We asked questions such as who is her target audience? What do you want to accomplish from the podcast? What does success look like. What is her long term goals? How will you promote the podcast and tell people about it? What sort of podcast, length, who to interview and we discussed a name for the podcast.

Last year on the 2nd of August my 2-year-old son Shua passed after fighting for his life for a week, after choking on a sandwich. As we reach his Yartzeit, Death Aniversary I feel emotional.
This whole business is all because of my son Shua. I started this business thanks to Shua’s birth. My doula who was also a Virtual Assistant told me about her business.I figured if a young 22-year-old can be a VA after just graduating High school. then certainly I can. After that, I did a lot of research on becoming a VA, took an online course, and started building my business.
Suddenly in July 2020, Shua passed away. Just 4 weeks later, I grabbed the opportunity to join Freelance University where I did a podcasting course and many other business classes. I went full force into business mode as a way of distracting myself from my grief and the challenges of lockdown. Over the course of the year, I have got my podcast certification, learned a ton and I am now full and have no room for new clients! I think this is all my son Shua looking down at us from heaven and asking G-d to pour down blessings on us.

Let's talk YouTube today!
If you want you YouTube vidoe to be seen and to get high on youtube searches you need to share it and get views on it. Youtube sees how many people are watching it and for how long. Getting a alot of hits a few days of it is uploaded shows Youtube that it is an worthwhile vidoe to watch and puts it higher up in the search result and on the suggested videos. Vidoes will not get views if they are just uplaoded onto youtube and not shared

Back to a podcasting tip. This is a big time and money saver. I am a big believer in batching (I even batch these social media posts). Batch your content. Record podcast in batches, edit in batches. Preschedule in batches. I feel amazing when I can preschedule a month's worth of podcasts and then there is so much less stress. As they say, it takes 15 minutes to get started on something. Podcasting needs to be consistent to be most successful. If you need to think about it every week it is not going to be consistent as busy week will come up

Another service I offer is re purposing video and audio content. One client is in their 60s and has no tech skills like many of that generation, but he gives a weekly zoom class. I repurposed it into a podcast and it gets out around the world. Another client does regular zoom talks and get the zooms cut and put on youtube and made into socail media snippets. The more various places your content is the more people you will reach.

I am a big believer in repurposing content. You have a long 30 min -60 min video recorded. Take out a few short 30sec to 1 minute clips and uplaod it to Facebook/Instagram. Even fancier and more catchy you can get those really cool videos with heading on top and subtitles on the bottom. Do you need help with this?
