It’s in our nature to give back, and when we heard about HalfCut's vision to save the Daintree Rainforest, we jumped at the chance to help them achieve it.

It's been a while since we have introduced ourselves. Let's kick it off with Alvaro.

Co-founder Alvaro has 25+ years’ experience in the film, TV and video industry.🎥 During this time, he’s gained a solid understanding of the overall production process and a reputation for going the extra mile on each and every project.

❗️Fun fact❗️

Alvaro is also the producer of 'The Vegetable Plot'; a childrens' animated TV series currently in development -one of only two Australian projects selected for the recent Asian Animation Summit where it was pitched to the likes of Disney, BBC and YouTube Kids.

Based on the music show of the same name created by Luke Escombe and supported by Screen Queensland, the team behind the series is now in conversations with several broadcasters to develop the project further. Watch this space!

- 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 -

Before online video existed, co-founders Natalie and Alvaro met one very late night (or was it morning?) on a dance floor in Madrid.

Fast forward a few months, Alvaro arrives at Sydney airport, camera in hand and a whole new life ahead.

Their work in video production originated in creating stories for local artists, surfers, events and venues in Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Gaining ground and recognition, they realised there was great demand for their shared skills in visual media, education, business communications and filmmaking. It wasn’t long before Nick Lorentzen, his daughter Natalie and the newly arrived Alvaro decided to go into business.

In 2007, the first online video production company in Australia – quickclips – opened its doors for business, landing Google as one of their first clients. The winning mix that led them to continued success clearly was (and still is) their combined talent, experience and covetable dance moves.

Sometimes one video is not enough: As a brand, you shouldn't limit yourself to a single brand video. Create more opportunities for your audience to get to know and love your brand through multiple videos.

Some examples include a combination of video types such as brand introductions, explainer videos, product demonstrations, company culture, behind-the-scenes, customer testimonials and more.

To make the most of your branding video series, be sure to know your target audience, keep your brand identity and tone of voice consistent and have an effective strategy to make the most of the exposure you're getting.

And lastly, don't forget that each platform that you distribute your content to needs to be unique. Not only size requirements but for your intended audience. Have a look at our previous post for examples. It's important to remember that not only does your audience differ in demographics from platform to platform, but your audience also behaves and interacts differently to content on each platform. Take Linkedin and TikTok for example, they are almost on opposite ends of the spectrum, but you can be assured, they are most likely on both.

Sometimes one video is not enough: Don't cramp your brand's style by creating just one video and sharing it as is. Each platform has unique requirements and sizes that users have come accustomed to. Take these clips we did for Wyndham Destinations for example.

Landscape video is great for Youtube, TVC's, Linkedin and sometimes Facebook. Portrait/vertical video is great for Instagram & Facebook Stories, Instagram Reels, TikTok and Youtube Shorts. Square, shown here, is great for Facebook and Instagram feeds.
