Manningham & Nillumbik Bulletin The M&N Bulletin gives the communities of Manningham and Nillumbik a voice.

Thunderball is coming!

In the coming days, Fireball will be handing this page over to Thunderball - the evolution of the much loved Fireball event. Coming up on 17 May, 2025, Thunderball will be raising funds for SES Manningham Unit who tend all our storm events, tree down calls and of course river rescues, which we've seen too much of this year.

We encourage you to support Thunderball an event still run by local volunteers, for our local emergency service volunteers.

FYI

⚠️ Tonight’s Carols by Candlelight at Ruffey Lake Park has been cancelled due to forecasted high-risk weather conditions ⚠️

Community safety is our top priority and unpredictable winds of up to 90kms per hour and thunderstorms all pose a risk to our wonderful Carols community. This decision was made with guidance from Victoria Police and the State Emergency Service (SES).

🙏 We are saddened by this outcome, but there is nothing more important to us than the safety of our community members, vendors, guests and staff.

We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season and hope to see you all again next year. Please be aware that, regrettably, we are unable to reschedule this event to a later date.

It's not unusual for someone to inadvertently donate something of significant value to an Op Shop. However in Warrandyte last week an unknown person has donated a number of items, one being an urn with someone's ashes.
Warrandyte Police have made a number of enquiries to reunite the original custodians of the urn with their former loved one, with no success.
If you know of someone who may have misplaced someone, please call Warrandyte Police on 9844 3231.
