🇦🇺 My Sunburnt country, Australia; extreme heat, floods, brutal fires and droughts. We go through a lot in Australia. One thing is for sure... and thats the Aussie way! A country that pulls together through the tough times. A country of people that will lend a hand at the drop of a hat. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We have spiders the size of dinner plates, crocodiles, extremely venemous snakes, scorpions, dingoes and red back spiders. We're a tough breed! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We are a scenic country of diverse terrain and wildlife. From the outback, rainforests, beach, mountains, snow and the bush. Unique wildlife is what we are known for; koalas, roos, possums, quokkas, galahs...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My favorite place in the whole of Australia is out in the bush. Although we endure the bugs, snakes, heat and billions of flies in the bush.... We are rewarded with the best sunsets in the world. The stars light up the night sky showing every satellite and shooting star. Not one sound of traffic to be heard! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

My 7 year old self would never have imagined being here - completely and utterly obsessed with horses. Because she was scared of horses. She wouldn’t even go into a paddock with horses. Until my brother started riding a pony that dad bought to mow the lawn. And I wouldn’t have it. My stubborn 7 year old self would not accept that my brother could do something I couldn’t do. Call it fate, apart of the Devine plan even, or simply that jealously got a hold of me. But in that moment I faced my fear, put my foot in the stirrup with a pounding heart and the rest is history 💞🐴😍

2020 has been full of ups and downs for me...although things seem to be falling into place at the moment. Some good things this year- ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
😊 I got to spend more time with my family due to COVID lockdown. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
😊 I was able to spend time for myself during lockdown. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
😊 I’ve made new friends and rekindled old ones.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Some things that were bad this year... NOTHING! Yes, some things were rough but they weren’t BAD. In every tough situation I looked for the hood things...every cloud has a silver lining right? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So here’s to 2021- I’m going in tough and I’m going to come out tougher! Let’s all kick butt this year 🙌💪 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I love KI and I love Cows.. I really do.. Flashback to Kangaroo Island in Jan when I helped out on some farms once the Wildlife Centre was A-ok. Just chatting to one of my farmer mates tonight and his cows n sheep are amazingly calving and lambing like there is no tomorrow! In fact there are many farms experiencing higher than usual rates of twins and triplets! Quite incredible considering these creatures also went through the trauma of many months of being surrounded with bushfire smoke / actual flames surrounding them... stressful in itself for any creature - but after that they endured many months of having no bugger-all feed until the pasture recovered... I saw many stock die from starvation... on top of having your farm burn to the ground... can you understand how s**tty that is..... Sooooooo getting pics of newborn lambs n calves after what was an utterly traumatic time for the farmers sure makes my heart sing! Please pop KI on your hitlist for your next holiday destination.. bloody love the place and the locals are dead-set legends!
