Well, well, well! It’s been awhile!
My last post says happy new year!

2021 has started out so busy for me! I am fully booked and really loving my clients and the work I am doing!

My 2021 goal is to achieve a good work/life balance! So far it’s tipping a little to one side.... but it’s a work in progress right?

Merry Christmas to you all.

​I want to take this opportunity to thank every single one of you for following long my journey, from selling my business to starting this VA business right in the middle of lock down. It has been a journey and I can honestly say I am so happy I took the leap and did it. I have met some truly wonderful people, I have some amazing clients that I get to work with, and I get to work the hours I choose and be there for my family when they need me.
​
​So thank you to each and every one of you for following along my journey this year.

Ok here we go with my 3 Top Tips for save you time in your business!!
​
​1. MAKE A LIST - Make lists of what you need to get done each day and work through them. I know this seems simple, but If you were 100% honest with how much time you waste thinking "what do I need to get done next?" you would be shocked. Give programs like Trello or Ansana a go (honestly they will change your life) and if you want a hand setting your Trello or Ansana up, just sing out to me.
​
2.​AVOID DISTRACTIONS - Put that phone on do not disturb for an hour and GET.IT.DONE. reward yourself after the hour with a scheduled break (that brings me to tip 3)
​
​3. TIME BLOCK - I set timers. I give myself 20 min in the morning for engaging on my social media, then I time block each client's hours into my calendar. I also time block breaks etc. Since I have started time blocking I work faster, and I feel like I am achieving 50% more than I was before.
​
​BONUS TIP
​Outsource if you feel like you are drowning. Hiring a VA (and not just the first VA you come across, find one that you gel with, organise a zoom call with a few and have a chat about your business, your goals and what you need to outsource and choose the right fit for you) can be a massive game changer in a business.
​

I’m back. ☀️

If you could go on a right now, tell me, where would you go?

What an amazing and much needed holiday it was! We had a ripper of a time.
Now back to reality as hubby leaves tomorrow for another 5 week stint away at work and I get stuck back into some content creation and on boarding a new client.

I did think about all my Melb and surrounds followers a few times while I was away and trust me, I am very thankful that we were able to get away. I am crossing all of my fingers and toes that you guys get to do the same thing soon.

Hi, 👋🏼
Lots of new followers have joined us so I thought I would do a quick 5 🖐🏽 facts about me!
🍎 I have owned 4 businesses (including this one) in the last 7 years since becoming a mum.
🥑 I started my first business when my son was 3 months old.
🍇 Prior to children I worked as a Family Intervention Counsellor and have a Bach Degree in Community Welfare.
🍋I have an autoimmune disease called and it is a big part of why I want to be my own boss!
🥦I have two children and a husband who is FIFIO (Fly in fly out) and works away for a month at a time.

Ok, so your probably wondering "Why is she sharing some random image of an elephant and what is this all about?"

​1: It is today! A day to celebrate these amazing animals (The worlds largest land-dwelling animals)
​2: (this one is a little deeper) Elephants have thick skin, and sometimes in the world of business, we too need to have thick skin. There are so many up's and downs on our way to success, that often we require thick skin to bounce off the bad and the negative!
​Also, Baby Elephants stand 20 min after birth!!! That's right they STAND after only being in this world for 20 min! SO if your BIZ is a brand new baby, don't let that stop you from standing up and tacking action to achieve your dream work/life balance!

My self-care is to curl up with a cup of tea and a good book and disappear for an hour into the world of whatever book I am reading. (Usually some fantasy story)
​
​When you are your own boss, and you set your own hours, it is very VERY easy to fall into the trap of not being able to turn that work brain off. (Trust me, I have been down this path) This often leads to burn out, and you don't want to go there!
​
​So self-care is important. Find something that allows you to switch off your biz brain and just enjoy.
​

​It all comes down to relationships.
​In order to really connect with your ideal customer/client there needs to be some sort of relationship and trust built. When a customer has trust in a brand and its products they are much more likely to shop with that brand time and time again.

Just keep swimming... 🐠
Keep pushing forward in whatever capacity that is for you today.

This might mean pushing through some barriers within your mind and completing a big task you have been putting off. 🙌🏼
But it might also simply mean getting up, having a shower and putting on a clean set of pj’s (looking at you guys in lockdown) Dont be hard on yourself, set achievable goals for yourself today, and smash through them. ✍🏽

When it comes to your business, just keep swimming, just keep pushing. And if your at the point in your business where you want to break barriers and grow into something amazing, but you feel like there are to many tasks holding you down... this is when your ready to outsource some of those tasks. 👋🏼

Hi, I’m Danica! 🐝
I started after a year of thinking about doing it but not taking action.
Now, looking back, I don’t know why I waited so long! I LOVE helping other businesses to grow, and to take away some of the huge ‘to-do’ lists of busy business owners.
