We are excited to announce our newest collaboration, working with the talented Chris Lynch, perfect for actors who are wanting to update and expand their portfolios!
In this hands-on workshop, not only will you get acting experience, in an 'on-set' environment, but you will also receive a professionally edited and coloured Performance Piece of your work!

Understanding your set layout makes a big difference for the entire camera department. Knowing your lighting resources, where you can fake natural lighting and set up your equipment without worrying about shadows, makes for an easy-going experience and gives you more time to perfect other essential tasks.

When shooting a scene, sometimes to help actors get into the moment, playing appropriate music can help get your actors in the right mindset and feel the tone you are aiming for. If there is no dialogue involved, check with your actors in finding a track that may help them bring out a more authentic performance.

Mostly an overlooked job on set, this is the most crucial role for the entire editing team to function and not be down on their knees as they have to stay back and add more time to synchronise the clips. Slating the shot is the Cupid of the Camera and Sound department, and we must thank you on behalf of the editors.

Asking and answering all the small questions will eliminate half the issues you may find when breaking down your script. Everyone at the table will have a creative solution. Give your actors a chance to speak. As Directors, we get caught up in our own little world and we have a specific vision on how we would like our actors to play our characters. However, your actors are the ones who dive in just as profound to bring out the minuscule characteristics that make them whole.

The collaboration between Director and Cinematographer begins in pre-production, ending in post. Having your film planed out during the early stages makes for a more effortless shooting experience, but that doesn't always mean you won't run into any problems. If Directors have clear communication with their team, more problems can be solved without pulling others away from their department. However, if you have an idea that pops into your head and is not on schedule, don't be afraid to take the risk and make it. It could turn out to be the incredible magic we all experience on set.
