How we turned $4.7k into over $70K in bookings — leaning on customer insights 💡
When we first started running ads for this Melbourne restaurant, we kept things simple: with a small budget, simple creative.
The client was cautious about wasting money on Meta. Results were steady, but nothing game-changing.
As trust grew, we began testing more: behind-the-scenes clips, staff talking-heads, diner moments, and lifestyle videos.
Month by month, we learned what connected and shifted budgets toward what actually filled tables.
One pattern stood out: most people booked within 48 hours of dining out.
So we shaped campaigns around that short decision window — reaching locals right when they were thinking, “Where should we go for dinner?”
Eight months later:
✨ 404 bookings (avg. 2.8 people each)
✨ $4,719 ad spend → $79,184 in estimated revenue
✨ $11.99 cost per booking
✨ 17× ROAS
Bookings are up 10 per cent year-on-year and when Meta rolled out its Andromeda updates, our campaigns barely needed adjusting.
While others saw ad costs rise, ours kept falling.
Great advertising isn’t luck — it’s creative volume, clear data, and clients willing to invest in content.
That last one’s still the hardest part. 😅
