The WA Government has rolled out rental reforms under which rent increases will only be allowed to occur once every 12 months.
Pets and minor modifications will be allowed in most rental properties.

Should food trucks and other mobile businesses pay higher rates to trade in Collie? A one-day permit is currently $30. Local brick-and-mortar retailers say they are faced with ever-growing overheads, including higher rents.

RATE REDUCTION

The prospect of a rate reduction of up to four percent for residents who pay their rates in full by the due date was floated at Collie Shire Council's meeting last month.

It was proposed this could act as an incentive for prompt payment.
