One minute you're being bombarded by inbox messages from scammers, next minute you're getting emails telling you you're account is about to be shut down. And honestly, sometimes it's hard to tell what real and what's not!

Scammers are out there, and it's important to be vigilant on your Business Page.

Here's how to spot the red flags:
🔴 Don't recognise the name? Check their profile - are they a real person or a newly created account?
🔴 Typos and bad grammar can be a sign of a scammer. A professional business should communicate clearly.
🔴 Are they pressuring you to click a link or give up info FAST? It's a trap!
🔴 Hover over any links before clicking. Does the URL look suspicious? Don't trust shortened links either!

Remember, never share personal or financial info through messages. When in doubt, report the message and contact the platform directly.

Ever logged in to Facebook to find strange posts, messages you didn't send, or even a completely locked account? You've likely been hacked! So here's a battle plan to reclaim your account and tighten up security for your Business Page:

1️⃣Secure What You Can!
➡️Change your password immediately. Use a strong, unique password (think random letters, numbers, and symbols).
➡️Enable two-factor authentication (2FA). This adds an extra layer of security by requiring a code from your phone to log in.
➡️Review recent logins. Head to "Settings & Privacy" -> "Security and Login" and check "Where You're Logged In." Recognise everything? Great! If not, log out of those unknown sessions immediately.

2️⃣Regain Control (If Locked Out)
➡️Visit Facebook's dedicated hacked account page: https://www.facebook.com/help/1380418588640631.
➡️Provide any information you can. Email, phone numbers, or even the names of friends can help Facebook verify your identity.
➡️Follow the recovery prompts. Facebook may ask you to complete challenges or reset your password through trusted contacts. Be patient, it might take a few days.

3️⃣Fortify Your Business Defenses!
➡️Admin Permissions Matter. Assign admin roles to trusted individuals only. Consider using a "Business Manager" account for added control.
➡️Review Third-Party Apps. Go to "Settings & Privacy" -> "Apps and Websites" and remove any unauthorised apps that have access to your page.
➡️Monitor Activity Logs. Keep an eye on your page's activity log for suspicious logins or changes.
➡️Educate Your Team. Train your team on best practices for secure logins and spotting phishing attempts.
