In May earlier this year I directed my first scripted short film called ‘Morning After’. Was an amazing experience where I learnt a lot with a bunch of great people. Here’s some BTS pics which I never got around to posting!

5 years…that’s how long it’s been with a spinal cord injury…but that’s also how much extra life I got to live because although I almost did, I didn’t die.
In my first year with my injury I would never have imagined I would be be where I am now…
I would be very happy to know that I am living a good life that keeps on getting better.
This year I am studying at VCA learning from amazing people and getting to direct films.
I am living in Melbourne which is full of opportunities where I get to meet other filmmakers and crew on their sets.
I can’t wait to see where I am in the next 5 years.

This year I have been trying to volunteer on different production sets and I may have gotten mostly no’s… so I am very grateful to the upcoming short ‘Black Trans Miracle’ for giving me the opportunity to join on one of their filming locations and be a part of the crew.
I got to meet some really great people and learnt some new things too.

Yesterday was my life day, 4 years since the day I sustained my injury…
The week leading up to that day is difficult and a bit of a struggle.
I like to spend that day with loved ones celebrating life with lots of hugs because it helps me get through it…until the next year 😆
I’m feeling great now so thank you to my amazing family for being there for me and all the people who sent me a message! I really do appreciate it 💕

Today is 3rd life day or 3rd anniversary of the day I was injured. I have a lot to be grateful for so thought I would make a fun video talking about 10 positives about my injury. (Posting the link below) But to be totally honest with you, I filmed this video on Sunday and today I am really struggling to be grateful. But people contacted me to tell me how happy they are that I did survive that accident 3 years ago which makes me feel so lucky to be alive and have such supportive people in my life. Every chair is made specifically for the individual who uses it and as my body changes a little, I need small updates to my chair that work for me and my body. I am trying a new backrest on my chair and I made a video of the process of updating and changing my wheelchair. Thank you to Active Rehab in Bendigo for your great help!
