Budrum is a one-woman Dungeon Synth / Dark Ambient project from Northern Greece. Since its formation in September 2024, Budrum has carved a distinct path through the underground with a demo, a full-length album, an EP, and two splits.
Rooted in the legacies of medieval and ancient Greek culture, yet reaching toward Nordic, Slavic, and Celtic mythologies, her music conjures a world where history, folklore, and mysticism converge. Drawing influence from old-school dungeon synth, medieval and classical music, and folk traditions from across the globe, Budrum channels these elements into soundscapes both haunting and empowering.
The name Budrum (accent on the second “u”) is taken from the Greek adaptation of the Turkish word for “Dungeon,” reflecting both her heritage and the project’s subterranean spirit.
Entirely DIY and produced in solitude, Budrum is a testament to the power and vision of a single woman creating uncompromising art from her own chamber.
