Attention, this is Ruins of Xibalba speaking.
This time, the focus of our historical journey is Shamanism. The cover art for the album by my dear friend and musician,Ahmet Tolga Ayıklar (aka Kam Ata). The mastering process for the album was expertly handled by Orko Productions.
This 9-track album will be exclusively digital, available on Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music, and other platforms starting July 5th. There's no particular reason for skipping a physical release; it's just the direction I've chosen for this project. With a 44-minute adventure, I invite you to explore the roots of Shamanism, a tradition that has touched every continent.

Orko Productions Welcomes Katurix and Gallic Hammer to Our Label!

We are thrilled to announce the latest addition to the Orko Productions family: Swiss Black Metal artist Katurix and his formidable one-man project, Gallic Hammer. Prepare to be captivated by the upcoming EP, “Echoes of Ancestral Battles,” set for release before the end of 2024.

Katurix, a seasoned drummer and arranger, has dedicated over fifteen years to various metal projects. In 2019, inspired by the legendary Quorthon of Bathory, he embarked on his own journey, creating epic black metal and Viking metal masterpieces. Initially named Tales of Invasions, Katurix’s project evolved into Gallic Hammer, and after a brief hiatus, he is back with renewed vigor.

“Echoes of Ancestral Battles” promises to be a monumental EP, blending epic black metal foundations with orchestral elements and the raw essence of 90s black metal. Thematically, the EP delves into ancient wars, mythology, Tolkien’s works, and the grandeur of nature.

LIMBONIC ART are back!
Their ninth full-length “Opus Daemoniacal” is black as a raven, fierce as a wolf, majestic as an eagle, and mighty as the legendary Norwegian black metal pioneers that mastermind, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist Vidar “Daemon” Jensen founded in 1993 have always been. “Opus Daemoniacal” continues along the more straightforward black metal path that the Norwegian has chosen for his last releases yet this album also deliberately harks back to the dense atmospheric and cinematic feel of LIMBONIC ART’s groundbreaking early works. After having turned into a duo, the debut album “Moon in the Scorpio” was released in 1996 via Nocturnal Art Productions – the label of EMPEROR guitarist Samoth aka Tomas Thormodsæter Haugen. Their at the time quite unique combination of harsh Nordic black metal with cinematic elements inspired by romantic and classic orchestral music proved extremely influential in the following years. With their sophomore full-length “In Abhorrence Dementia” (1997) and the third album “Epitome of Illusions” (1998) LIMBONIC ART gradually reduced the symphonic elements of their sound. In February 2003, the duo broke up, but Daemon reformed the band in 2006. He continued to release the LIMBONIC ART albums “Phantasmagoria” (2010) and “Spectre Abysm” (2017). “Opus Daemoniacal” connects the present to the early sound of the Norwegian cult act, which is bound to appeal to friends of their first albums as well as to a new generation of classic Norse black metal connoisseurs.
